步出约克火车站即可看到的古城墙,漫步在其中有一种走路历史的奇妙感觉,因为保存维护的非常好,没有人乱涂鸦或是毁损的地方,还可看到市区的风貌,非常值得上来散步

很遗憾他们拆除了一些城墙,这对小孩子是有危险的,除非大人要看管好他们,要不会失足的。有的地方要爬台阶,散步还是很不错的,可以欣赏城市的景色,下次还会来。

York City的城墙并没有被商业化或者是涂得脏脏的,附近也并非挤满了纪念品店。新的城市就是围绕这城墙而建起来的,你可以走路参观一下这些城墙。大部分城门都依然还矗立着,并且旁边有刻着关于这座门的历史的铭牌,可以仔细的看一下,能学到很多东西,至少对我来说是很有用的。

我们绕着城墙走了整整一圈。真的很享受,而且有了导游书的指导,我们也了解了整个城市的历史。这是融入到约克郡悠久历史氛围的很好方式。

约克以及约克座堂的景色真是美不甚收。如果你喜欢这里的历史,是免费的!!没有时间走完整个城墙哦,但是如果你走上博物馆花园对面的阶梯的话,那里有一小段城墙可以走走。

来这里欣赏约克不收费,也是漫步历史的一个选择。沿着三英里长的城墙悠悠漫步,如果只想随便看看的话,那我认为英国酒吧和和尚门酒吧之间的城墙不可错过。这段路途的风景最棒,还能看到大教堂。道路是维多利亚风格的,有些地方很窄,有些地方有护栏,有些地方没有。我有点恐高,虽然这个城墙我这几年都很熟了,但有些地方的高度确实叫人害怕。

I love the city of York, the fact that it is surrounded by the stunning city walls that you can walk on it's amazing. Gives a good view of the city.

We shouldn't have chosen to walk along the wall the morning it was snowing, as I was mostly paying attention to not slipping over, but it added a little charm to York. I loved seeing it every day we walked past it, and on our walking tour we heard about it.

This is a great free attraction and you get to see York from a very different angle. Lots to see and read and learn on the walls to. Great way of exploring, definitely recommend!

Remarkably well restored and looked after. The detail of architecture is very impressive and when looking at a particular part it takes you backbto another age.

lovely way to see the city centre from the outside. There is a lovely cafe part way which is lovely, there are also an activity at the side of each quarter of the city walls for children to trace. such a good idea

These walls are up to 700 years old! Full of history as is the whole of York. They were easy to walk around as you soaked in the history.

The walls are beautifully kept and lots of daffodils are out by the side at this time of the year. A walking tour gives you indications from the wall of places of interest. A good way to get to grips with the layout of the city. No dogs or wheelchair access.

Yes very good well worth the walk around the city and up and down steps and some really great view. It's so nice to be up high amongst the roofs and with the pigeons. It lasted about 2 hours and was quite when we went.

After an excellent lunch at Drakes Fish and Chip Restaurant we were ready for a good walk and the walls are in excellent condition and easy to walk around.
