When I visited there, It was perfect weather. Sun was going down and made fantastic sunset. There were some cows, I envied them at that time.

It was beautiful to see the marsh and drive around the cape through small fishing villages. The nature center directed us to the place were we could see a pair of red crowned cranes in the marsh in the wild. We did not see any other interesting birds in August. If you are a birder February and spring are the best time to visit. We stayed in Minshuku Furen and had a wonderful time with the owner/birder. His wife kooked us the the best meals. There is a birding cruise that we did not book in advance that might have given us more birding opportunities but we could not do it on a short notice.

Peaceful and very beautiful. Windy and u can see a range by the side. Very picturelique. That's why 4 movie was filmed there.

My husband and I visited Cape Notoro after watching the Chinese movie by Shu Qi. Cape Notoro was really beautiful facing the ocean. The weather was cool and it was windy when we were there.

When in Abashiri, you should travel to this nice cape located not far from Abashiri town centre. After parking the car, go walk down to the fences and look down at the horizon. The lighthouse and the distant scenery make a really good picture!Listen to the sound of the waves clapping the cliffs down below. Smell the blooming of flowers around you. And take plenty of pictures to take a little piece of this haven with you when you return to reality. Recommended!

It was a wonderful day in January. East coast of Hokkaido, No wind (amazing) clear blue sky. We walked from Downtown Abashiri to the cape and then down by lake Notoro and back to our hotel. In perfect weather. about 34 k in all. A great walk. If you drive take your time, have a walk around the cape. When on the lake side stop and have a look back at the cape. It really is beautiful.

冬の能取岬に初めて訪れたが、圧巻の景色。観光タクシーさんのお勧めで回って頂いたが、行って良かった。能取湖を車窓からの楽しみながら能取岬に着いた。知床連峰が遠くに見え、流氷船や帽子岩が見え、崖下には波の音とともに流れ着く流氷。ロケ地に選ばれるところだと納得。

トンネルを抜けると目の前に能取岬へ降りる道が開けます。岬の遊歩道を歩くと、流氷の先端が帯状になって近づいてくる様子を目の当たりに観察できました。接岸初日に立ち会えてラッキーでした。

オホーツク海と知床連山が一望できる雄大な岬です。素晴らしく広い。大自然を感じます！黒と白のストライプ灯台が象徴的。灯台下の岸壁は流氷で削られたそうで、紺碧色の海と白い波しぶきが荘厳で美しいです。晴天の良き日に、ここを訪れる事が出来て幸せです。

誰もいない、何もない。いや、荒涼とした大地とオホーツク海。それを見下ろす孤高の灯台。年に６度網走を訪れるが、必ずここに来ます。考え事をするには最高の場所です。魔法瓶に暖かいココアを携えて。

網走市内から車で15分ほど。オホーツク海に面した岬です。晴れていれば知床連山、流氷が接岸していれば美しい流氷が岬の眼下に広がります。ただ、雨天、ましては吹雪時はあまりオススメできません。ここは景色中心の観光地です。かつては、定期観光バスのルートにも入っていたようですが、今はそのバスもなく、アクセスが車やタクシーなどに限られてしまいます。実は晴れた夜に行くと、そこはまるでプラネタリウム。あまり夜に行く人はいないかも知れませんが、個人的には晴れた夜の能取岬もオススメです。

ガイドブックの地図に、牛や馬の放牧が見られる岬と書いてあったので行ってみましたが、私達が行った時の放牧エリアは遠くにあるせいか、見えずにガッカリしました。岬自体はきれいで、トイレもあります。天気が良ければ遠くに知床連山を眺めながら散策できて、気持ち良さそうでした。

網走から車で行きました。岬は広大な公園のようでぐるっと散策できます。突き出た形になっているので三方をオホーツク海に囲まれていて眺めは抜群。この雄大さはまさに北海道らしい風景と言えます。いつかは冬場に訪れて流氷を見てみたいです。帰りは能取湖の方からまわりサロマ湖へと抜けました。
