This is a place in Saveneta/Pos Chito. Area entrances, huts and walkways have been redone. It has Mangrove trees and multiple entrances to the water as one goes out to the beach. It is beautiful!A lot of snorkelers and scuba divers enjoy this area as do we. It is great for picnics, etc. A really nice place!! It is still quite pristine.

Great spot with mangrove. Water was clear, nice coral and fish not far from the shore! Area had been cleaned (could see someone had raked the entire area) with nice palapas free of charge.

While in Aruba, we had our own car and our own snorkel equipment, so we did snorkeling right off the beaches. In the case of Catalina Cove, we snorkeled in the exact same spot as the tour boats 50 yards offshore.!!We had read a lot about Mangel Halto and were really looking forward to it.. however, it was a lot of work and a long way out to get to any fish. To be fair, everything we read was that the good coral was outside the bay, so I think that is why someone like Aruba Bob is so highly rated for Mangel Halto, since he uses the scooters to get you out to the best spots.Just not good for beach snorkeling.!

We stayed at a house right across from this beach. It was populated with the locals and tourists. Great place for snorkelling! The water is beautiful and the sunset view is great. It's not a white sandy beach, but nice if you wanted to go out snorkelling. The mangroves and pretty.

We visited about 8 of the highest rated snorkeling spots on the island and this was--by far--the best in terms of very clear and calm water with many healthy reefs. There's not much of a beach here, but there are a few picnic areas. The best water views are about 100 yards from shore and most of that is shallow water. Beware of the occasional careless boat drivers who aren't looking for snorkelers.

Found this place through the Aruba Kayak Adventure, and I had to return once I knew about it. This is probably one of the best places to get both shallow- and deep-water snorkeling in. If you're going to go the deep route, the waves get a bit rough, so be prepared. There's plenty of shade to be found at this beach, and the vegetation adds additional ambiance. I believe there is a small restaurant with facilities as well, though I didn't find out for myself.

it was pretty windy here but it's a great beach for a picnic or little gathering. we liked this little beach, it's isolated from the road and a cool little spot.

This is one of the most unique and groovy beaches I've ever been to. You park, cross a bridge down into an area surrounded by mangroves. You have some choices to enter the water, a key one being down a path through the mangroves. It was so cool! What an experience. The water is shallow and protected by a barrier about 100 yards out. If you want to snorkel, you swim out and do it. We saw many people snorkeling. Lots of straw-roofed 'umbrellas'. This place wasn't crowded in the least. No chairs or toilets available. The place is slightly hard to find. Get good directions before you go.

This beach is ideal for families with young children or those who just like to wade around and look at stuff. The area is lovely, semi protected by a small reef and very shallow. It hooks into another area that is a bit deeper and then much deeper with a small wreck at the end of the reef that is fun to snorkel to but BEWARE of the boats near that wreck! Stay on the reef side or very close to the wreck and make sure you are a reasonably strong swimmer and/or have flippers to make your way back against the current.

We stayed in Pos Chiquito so it was less than 5 min drive and was really enjoyed getting away from the crowd. During the weekdays the locals are working so this is a great place to snorkel and hang out by the beach. And of course, the reef doesn't disappoint, we say numerous colorful fish, squid, and coral.

You don't have to go out in a boat to snorkel! Not far from land you will see colorful fish, sea urchins and beautiful coral! If you have a knowledgeable guide, like from Aruba Bob's, you'll also get to see a sunken boat! You will not be disappointed!

Deep, shallow, coral, boat wreck... It's got it all up to 300 yards from the shore. Just be careful with unexperienced boat drivers that do not respect the HUGE buoy signaling out of bounds.

Mangel Halto Beach in Aruba is located in Pos Chiquito on the southeast coast just south of the Spanish Lagoon. This Caribbean beach is a perfect sunning and snorkeling spot in Aruba with calm, shallow waters rich in sea life supported by an intriguing network of mangroves.

This largely unvisited beach is quiet, and largely untouched. There is not general swimming (lots of coral in the water). However, if you crave some peace and quiet in a gorgeous setting, this is the spot for you. Bring your own chair and umbrella. There are no facilities or refreshments sold. There are some snorkeling opportunities off the mangroves, and I've been told that they are great - also, there is a sunken shipwreck that scuba divers will enjoy.
