We love caves. I've been in caves all over the world. We stopped here while traveling on our 2 week camping trip. The cave itself is far from some of the spectacular caves I've seen in this world but I still loved the fact I was in a cave and my two young children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff are very personable and they give a lot of good information.

We added s visit to the caves while enjoying a family weekend in Barry's Bay. The tour was very informative. It was a little pricey but not by much. I would not recommend this tour for young children, they may get bored. We loved it and would recommend a visit to the Caves.

Enjoyed our visit to this little gem in the Ottawa valley. Had a groupon so it was affordable for us but for a family it can be expensive. Our guide, young blonde woman, was great at explaining how this came to happened. She added some anecdotes and stories that made the hour go very fast. Was expecting something bigger.Another note, the little river that goes by it has lots of potential for beautiful pictures especially in the fall.

A worthy stopover with interesting fossil information. Caves not overly special. Guide and all staff very good and friendly. Good souvenir shop. A fun visit.

We went to the caves during the summer with visiting guests. For three adults and a child entrance was over $60. I thought is was a bit pricey. Haven't been here for a few years but I don't see any reinvestment of earnings in this place. Bathrooms, structures all the same as they have been for years. All the same it's a nice diversion every couple of years when we have company. The story is great. Our guide tried too hard to be funny - he ... wasn't.

Since buying a cottage in the Ottawa valley we have taken many guest to the caves in the day time and enjoy it every visit. Last night six of us were finally able to do Dining in the Caves. It only happens two nights a year so we were excited to be able to get seats. Truly a unique experience. The food was very good, (and the wine) and since you are in close quarters meeting fellow dinners was easy to do. I am sure it is not an easy task carrying all the supplies and equipment needed down the stairs into the cave. But I am glad they did. I would definitely do it again.

Jason was our tour guide at the Bonnechere Caves, an interesting site to visit near Eganville, Ontario. He was one funny young adult, explaining the history and geology of the caves with great good humour, creating suspense, tension and explosive laughter that made the tour a cut above the usual. The site is family owned, and it shows. We were greeted very warmly, and there is no hard sell of the souvenir items on display. The family's enthusiasm about their enterprise is contagious, and certainly conveys the spirit of small-town friendliness in rural Ontario. A nice diversion for a few hours. GO !

We went on a tour with about 20 people....we joined late though so missed a little of the fossil presentation...our guide David was fantastic, he was very enthusiastic about geology and shared the story of the cave discovery. I would say it is a little overpriced.....it was $70 for two adults and three kids.

Went on a tour with about 20 other people, led by tour guide Patrick. Amazing! Patrick was very knowledgeable, told interesting stories well and kept the big group together. Worth every penny! The best part was... you'll have to see for yourself. :)

We were at a cottage for the week in Barrys Bay, This was a good 1/2 day trip. nice drive through small towns to stop and check out. The caves were an interesting attraction . Price a bit steep $17 for adults $13 for kids under 17. We have older girls ages 17 and 20 so it can be a challenge sometimes to find things to see and do that they will enjoy. Take a hoodie as it can be cool in the caves, also sturdy shoes since the floor of the caves can be wet and slippery. The guides were very friendly. There is a small picnic area along the waterfall once you get inside the gate to the caves. There is a very small shady area for you to leave your dog on a leash if you must.

We had hoped to see bats, but didn't find out until part way through the tour that they only hang out in the caves at OTHER times of the year. The tour guide was knowledgeable, though seemed more interested in the young women on the tour and in telling us about his previous sports injuries than in actually providing a tour. Overall, not bad.

Found it while exploring for things to do before we got to the area and not disappointed. Have done cave tours in Virginia , Pennsylvania, West Virginia. This one was a smaller cave but the total experience was good. Dave our tour guide was knowledgeable and knew his history and fossils of the caves. He had a lot of information and presented it very well even with some good (sometimes corny) jokes. It is an easy walk in the caves mostly on a wood walkway, and good head room.A well spent nearly two hours including the walk down the river for pictures.

We rented a cottage in the area and this was a great attraction nearby. Interesting history around the cave's discovery and exploration. Well worth the visit!!
