Great place for healthy lunch, a coffee, or just an ice cream. The service is so friendly, they make you feel comfortable and relaxed.I use the WiFi to catch up on what is happening back home and enjoy looking at the wonderful choices of unusual items for sale. If you want a little exercise, have a round of mini putt, or take a walk on a beautiful trail through the woods.

Fort Vermillion has an amazing atmosphere, a great 2 km trail, minigolf, a play structure and more. The Treehouse cafe inside has wonderful food that is healthy and fresh. There are plenty of treats such as baked goods and ice cream. Eat here!

This is a wonderful place to stop and spend some time.Food is great and varied......made just for you in front of you. Variety is awesome.Small boutique store has lots of choice and unusual items.

Great for families with small children because they can run around and play in the park. Italian influence beause of the owner. Food was simple but good.

It's unfortunate you were disappointed with your visit in Nov. Based on the date of your posting, I believe we were closed at the time of your visit. The Fort habitually opens May long weekend and closes for the season Sep. long weekend. Therefore when you stopped in@ the Fort in Oct. or Nov...You are absolutly right, there was little to see or offer. If travelling through Vermilion Bay this summer, please give us another try - we would love to see you and will do all possible to impress you on your next visit. Please travel safe :)

We stop here often when traveling between Winnipeg and Thunder Bay. The service is friendly, the ice cream and coffee are excellent, the kids love the playground, and the hiking trail is very nice.

What a great place this is! A beautiful enclosed playground, eating and seating area, a great 2 km trail (with 2 great caches for geocaching amateurs), a beautiful café with Wifi Internet, good ice cream, delicious baked good (they even had gluten-free brownies!) and great coffee. What else do you need! Don't miss this place! Very friendly with lots of locals and travellers alike!
