Edmonton Fringe Festival is the largest of all the fringe festivals in North America. If you are a fan of different forms of live entertainment, this is the festival for you. There's something for everyone. Plays, musicals, street performers, live music, delicious festival food, drinks, etc. Come check it out!

If you have ever been to a fair, come to this one. It rocks and is so cool. See a play, drink a beer, eat at a fabulous restaurant, eat fast street food, enjoy the shows and enjoy life. Edmonton in the summer is beyond belief.

This is a brilliant way to spend a day out along and around Whyte Avenue in Edmonton. Lots of talent and entertainment and well, well worth a visit.

We took in our first ever Fringe Festival this year and had a marvelous time! 6 plays in a couple of days, and absolutely no complaints. I can't wait for 2015!

Love the Fringe Fest! There are so many shows to choose from, street acts to watch, and food to ingest. We actually plan our summer visits to Edmonton to see our daughter around the Fringe. Need I say more?

A fun happy place to visit. Can get very crowded. There is entertainment here for all ages. If you are worried about "adult content" then I suggest attending shows in the Churches. There are many varied performances now held in several. The outdoor stages are good to. There is a kids fringe that is always busy. The Fringe is a highlight of mine and many other's summer!

This is possibly the best event in Edmonton during the year, assuming you are a fan of live theatre. We have been going for many years to this annual event and have never been disappointed. In addition to the incredible range of theatre for all ages, including children, there is also a wide range of ethnic food available at reasonable prices. Enjoy some Indian curry and beer in the open air between performances for a great afternoon or evening.

ad so much fun at the Fringe and saw a lady swallow a sword and play with fire. I got an oven baked pizza and it was soooo good! I hope I can come back next year.

some very good plays, some very bad. it's fun and always has something to offer. Suggest you check reviews before you see a play.

This festival in the "City of Festival" is in my option the best of all. It appeals to the casual stroller who is there to see any street performers that might be available to watch. It is held the last week of August to celebrate the last hurray before returning to school or winter activities. Several therical performance and play are listed for anyone interested in watching a play. You must arrange for a ticket in advance. It is really fun.

Some plays are great some so-so and some really bad. The fun of the Fringe is that you can see 3-4 plays per day and enjoy the atmosphere of talented writers, directors and actors everywhere!

The 2014 festival named Fringed and Confused is once again a huge success. There is enough variety that all can be entertained...from children to old guys like me. If you have the opportunity you should plan to take advantage of this festival...you won't be disappointed.

Great selection of food and fun to shop at the little booths. Tiana the Traveller was a hysterically funny busker and a little different. The rest of the shows that we saw were mostly acrobats with the same maybe not so family appropriate lines/jokes and a big unicylcle or balancing act at the end... I started to feel like we were in the movie groundhog. Sadly, with kids in tow we didn't have time for a sit down play and hope to make it back... Well worth a visit but maybe get tickets to a show to really make it worth while.

We go to the Edmonton Fringe Festival every year. Sometimes we buy a program, choose our plays and buy tickets in advance. Sometimes we are more spontaneous and choose our plays right at the box office. Sometimes we stick to the street performers at the outdoor Street Fringe. The Fringe has a great smartphone app with information about the plays, maps and option to buy tickets online. There is lots to see, regardless of age. Many food vendors are onsite, but you can also walk to the many restaurants along 82nd (aka Whyte) Avenue. August can be sunny & hot or cloudy & cool--dress for the weather. Take along a water bottle and your camera. Consider taking the High Level Bridge streetcar from downtown Edmonton to the Fringe site. The view from the streetcar is beautiful, especially at sunset. O festival oferece diversas opções de entretenimento e abre as portas para artistas locais.Um evento muito agradavel.Dificil é apenas para comprar ingressos, já que sao vendidos em locais especificos e nem sempre no local dos eventos.
