The Tantanoola Caves are definitely worth visiting, although just one large cave is accessible. There are many different caves in the region, but this has the most spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. The story behind the discovery of the caves is interesting and the guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. Well worth a visit.

Went for a visit and the cave is very impressive, just one big open area and very interesting. However, it doesn't take long to walk around, look at everything and take some photos. I feel the price is a little too high. If they knocked $5 off all prices it would get 5/5

We took a drive out to Tantanoola Cave today and found this to be a magnificent cave. The stalactites, stalagmites, columns and straws are all so beautiful. This cave is not very deep so there wasn't 100's of steps to master, which suited me fine. This cave is wheel chair friendly so everyone can benefit from the beauty of this cave. I just sat there on the chairs provided and took in the awe of it's beauty. This is the 8th cave that we have been down and it didn't disappoint. Our guide was lovely and after a brief run down of the cave left us to take photos and take as much time as we liked. The cost was very reasonable as well. I think everyone should visit at least one cave in their life time and experience the wonder of nature and to think we have these beautiful formations under our earth.

This was amazing to see how the cave was made. The guide was very knowledgeable. My only disappointment is that there was not enough time to take photos. (if your a amateur photographer)

The kids loved the caves and the exhibition of fossils would come back again to explore more of the caves

It is one of the attractions we visited in a dad trip to Mount Gambier, as we live in Nene Valley. We went to here first as all other attractions are all in side Mount Gambier town. First impression of Tantanoola cave was a bit flat. From the car park what you can see is only a small building and the ramp towards that building. But, once you are inside, you will have to agree that this cave is pretty impressive. It is not a huge cave, but the formations inside it are really good. The friendly tour guide was very good. She gave us all the necessary information and then let us wandering around. We took quite a few photos before the next tour arrived 15 minutes later. This cave is easy to access and entry fee is reasonable. It worth to visit when you come around Mount Gambier area.

With a 3 year old we loved the fact you can take your own time to look around. Was beautiful to see,and the staff were lovely.

We stopped by this cave while holidaying in the area and were very glad that we did. It was not crowded at all and the nice guide took us in and give us a brief talk, then left us alone to wander as we pleased. The rock formations are really amazing inside and the cave is jam packed with them. It is not wet or anything either.A great place to visit for sure!

Brilliant, loved this place! Popped in briefly during a long drive, and we were overwhelmed by how beautiful this cave was. Only $10 concession entry, which we thought was quite reasonable, and you get a brief history of the cave, and the friendly guide will take some photos of you in the cave. Easy access, and you can stay as long as you like. Highly recommend.

As a wheelchair user I was privileged to visit this wonderful cave with family. A truly wonderful spectacular place and well worth a visit if in the area.

It's definitely worth the short drive. It's only a small cave but amazing, beautiful! The guide was lovely and offers to take a photo of you in the cave (if you brought a camera). There is also a short walk where you look over the pine plantations to the wind farms in the distance.

We visited Tantanoola Caves on our way to Adelaide. The visit was highly recommended and rightly so. The ranger was friendly and very helpful. The cave was not huge but was packed with so many features. The shapes and colours were magnificent and they were as good, if not better, any cave we have visited. You were allowed to take photographs which was good. Not a long visit but a very good one.
