Absolutely stunning. A definite must see on any Cyprus holiday. Set aside a full day to see it all be sure to walk the whole site.

This is a Unesco World Heritage site andas such an archaeological site well worth a visit. It covers a large area of ground on the headland behind the attractive harbour of Pafos and its castle. Admission price is negligible for the amount and variety of history on display - especially the large amount and variety of mosaic floors dating from the Roman period when Pafos was the Cyprus HQ of the Roman Empire. Many of the best preserved floors are under cover, although a significant amount is still open to the elements around the site. A modern interpretation centre is just inside the entrance, displaying a range of artifacts associated with this and other sites in Cyprus, and also contains some very interesting information about the birds of Cyprus - a major migration route for about 400 species.

Small and compact but very informative. Parts are covered at present by sand probably due to the recent inclement weather. Downside is that you are not allowed to take pictures.

Huge site which is "work in progress". The mosaics are amazing - Mrs I&G took an interest as they would be challenging cross-stitch projects!Quite good signage and in March there were wild flowers and birds in abundance; a bonus that the place was quiet. It's a shame that so many mosaics have been covered (for protection) - see the video about how they rolled them up to preserve them.A cheap way to pass a couple of hours and take in some fabulous antiquities.

There is an amazing amount included in this for the EU 4.50 admission. There are uncovered buildings which are amazing to walk around and get a feel for the site and there are some brilliant mosaics which would be worth twice the admission alone. In addition to the Roman era buildings there is a French Fort from the c1200AD which is a good half hour's entertainment. The sea is a great backdrop and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes just outside the entrance. In March there are hardly any visitors (don't know about any other time of the year). A really good half day.

Really liked this, spent hours here, can't believe how little it cost, as I was there in Feb/March, it was practically deserted, so an excellent chance to roam around freely.

This site is very close to Paphos harbour and entry cost is only €4.50. The archeologists have done a wonderful job opening up the various houses and showing the incredibly well preserved mosaics. A MUST place to visit.

Well worth the visit, I loved the mosaics, lots to see and lovely views from the lighthouse. Very cheap entry fee. I would have liked a guided tour, maybe they do have these during the summer, although I can imagine it would be very hot to walk around this huge site.

We had heard that the mosaics here were some of the best to be seen, so we visited on our last day, but left it a bit too late, so had less than an hour. A rushed visit to see as much as we could, we realised that we would have to come back on a future visit.

A World Heritage site since 1980 the Kato Paphos Archaeological Park is a must see .Entrance is only 4 euro 50 and this includes the whole site and visitor's centre. The site is spread out (so water, sunhat and sensible shoes required). There is the amazing mosaics from four Roman villas, the Odeon, the Forty Columns Fortress, the Asklepieion and so much more.A lot of outdoor mosaics have been covered in sand until such times some structures are built above them, though there are still many to see.The bus station is nearby and there is a large car park. Lots of restaurants nearby, ice cream and coffee shops.
