Excellent views. Crowded on timer area, where there are a lots of beginners. Smart linked with Bad Kleinkirchheim

Really good ski piste with nice restaurant with great view. Little bit expensive ski-card, but... there is always some snow, maybe artificial but snow

Good connection between the slopes but some lifts are somewhat long (13 minutes to travel in the seat); some slopes for beginners were closed - no snow and, thus, advanced and intermediate skiers were in much better position to choose from. The slopes work only in the daylight, there is no illumination, so the lifts and elevators get empty well in advance of the end of their running time.

The slopes are not extremely abundant, but there's a good variety. Lifts are a bit outdated but otherwise serve their purpose. Ski-passes are on the pricey side considering all the above mentioned disadvantages. There's plenty of restaurant-huts on the mountain and in the village.

The slopes are good for average to experienced skiers, though not for beginners. The most annoying about the ski arena is that the slopes are not clearly marked or not marked at all. Another downside is that it is not really 1 connected ski arena. A ski bus is offered, though the frequency could be better (1 each 30 minutes). When it comes to skiing in Austria there are much better places to go too.

the commitment of the owning family to make ur stay unique and the food and wine cellar were just great

In December there was no snow, so review is impacted...Decent family skiing. A bit older infrastructure, bu slopes are very nice.

We had just few hours so we used the summer lift "Kaiserburgbahn" to get to the peak at about 2055 m and back. The price was 19.5 EUR per person (adult). They have a middle station too at 1500 m high (the ticket is cheaper if you go there). At the top of the mountain there was a restaurant (we didn't tried). You can go to many directions up and down as well. The ways are good, not hard nor dangerous to walk on. It is really worth going there and spend more time even with mountain bike. Very nice. We'll come back during the summer.

One of best ski resorts in Carinthia, devided into 2 areas. Skiing for everybody. Pists in perfect condition, excelent artificial snow. Nice mountain huts on the slopes. Very good service, no problem with parking. Good valu for money, we recomend!

BKK Ski Area is divided into areas. Choose to use the St. Oswald Cable Car which is new and leads to all trails in the St. Oswald area. The slopes are well maintained. The only downside is to return to the parking lot you must ski down. This slope is south facing and if the temperature is above freezing, the slope at the lower level is soft snow. However, it is not difficult to ski down especially if you are an intermediate skier. Wonderful places to eat and sun at the top of the cable car as well as at the bottom. On the slope, stop at the restaurant owned by former world class skier Podel and his son Johannes. Great food her and terrific terrance for sunning on nice days.

Been there twice this winter. At the end of january there was not much snow and they were trying to make one all the time. Then in the beginning of Mart everything on the slopes was perfect. Most of the lifts are old and slow, Sankt Oswald is better place for skiing when the temerature is not very high or when there is a wind. In strong wind they will close the second part of Kaiserburgbahn in Kleinkirchheim. Not much people, no queue on the lifts.

There are only few new ski lifts, the most of them are open chair lift or old cable car. An Austrian classical problem is the lack of care on the slopes compared with Italy or France
  • mare69
Strong wind will shut down the ski lifts. I didn't know that and waited for an hour for ski lift to start operating again. The ski tracks were in excellent condition.

Ski slopes are wide, long and almost always well prepared. Only few for beginners and rather advanced / mostly red slopes. We were in mid-January, it was low season, and slopes were not crowdy.Ski lifts seems old, but working OK.Bad and St.Oswald zones are connected, but with two double chair lifts.Free ski bus is available, but it is going very rare.

A lot of red slopes, one excellent black run for world cup downhill (named after famous Franc Klammer) and of course Romerbad Therme - spa center. As others mentioned, lifts are not so modern but slopes are perfectly prepared.
