I'd been here before you see, in 1973. Went back with friends at my suggestion. There were far more caves than I remembered and some of them are spectacular. The tour is in German and I was given an English translation to read as we went around, but it was too dark to read properly and I left my glasses in the car. However it was helpful when I stood next to a floodlight!Better value than the caves at Cheddar!

Surprisingly, this cave was opened quite recently, about 100 years ago , although it is located in the city center , which is about 1,000 years old. This is the biggest cave in Germany. Probably the surrounding mountains and riddled with caves. We visited this cave in march, it was a real surprise. The tour was about an hour and the cave is beautifull. The tourguide only spoke german but hè spoke slowly and clearly so it was quite understandable. If you are in this part of Germany this cave is a trui gem.

Good to see a stellactite cave at least once in your life. The tour was inexpensive and brief, which was great. It was however only in german. the cave is actually quite small. I wished the inside was lit up with more color (i've seen one in Koblenz once that was cooler). The last showing is at 4. We got there at 3:15 and there was no line-up at all. We stayed at Land Hotel Struck, which was very nice - about a 10 min drive.

Hulen er enorm flot. Lyssætning i hulen fremhæver de fantastiske drypstenshule og søjler. Guiden der fulgte os rundt var en ung pige, der var god til at fortælle om hulen og dens historie. Desværre gav hun sig ikke tid til at prøve at forstå vores gebrokne tysk. Men en god oplevelse alligevel

Ein Besuch in der Attahöhle ist für jeden Besucher in Attendorn zu empfehlen oder auch sicher ein Grund die Stadt zu besuchen.

Ein Gang durch die Attahöhle lohnt sich zum Staunen. Auch als Familienausflug. Schon umwerfend und zum Nachdenken anregend, wenn wir erfahren, wie lange kleine Strukturen in der Höhle brauchen um uns zu begeistern - Millionen von Jahren. Der geführte Gang durch die Höhle dauert gefühlte 70 Min. (ich habe vor Staunen nicht auf die Uhr geschaut).

Die Attahöhle ist eine wunderschöne Tropfsteinhöhle. Wenn man schon in Attendorn ist, sollte man auch die Attahöhle besichtigen. Wer jedoch Atemprobleme hat, sollte den Besuch der Höhe vermeiden. Es ist teilweise auch etwas glitschig, aber Sicherheit wird groß geschrieben.

Atta Höhle i Attendorn er klart et besøg værd. Stedet er let at finde, har gode parkeringsmuligheder og en rigtig god guidet tur rundt. Stedet bæger præg af, at være lidt (for) kommercielt, dette ses især i souvenireforretningen. Selve den guidede tur foregår på klart og tydeligt tysk i grupper der ikke er for store.Det er ikke tilladt at tage billeder under vejs, men der kan købes fine hæfter og postkort i forretningen. Turen tager ca. 40 minutter og er egnet til børn også.

Ich war mit über 40 Personen das erste Mal im Sauerland, um an einem Einheitskonzert am 3.10.2014 in Maumke mitzuwirken. Natürlich wollten wir das mit Ausflügen und Interessanten Besichtigungen verbinden. Und so kamen wir auch zum Besichtigung der Atta-Höhle. So was schönes, einzigartiges haben wir bis jetzt noch nie gesehen, und um eine Erfahrung reicher sind wir zurück nach Berlin gefahren.Der Führer hat auf unseren Fragen immer kompetent und freundlich geantwortet, man hat alles sehr Gut verstanden, und es hat sich gelohnt die 40 Min. in der Kälte durchzulaufen. Ich werde es weiter mit Freude an meine Freunde und Bekannte weiterempfehlen.

Die Atta-Höhle in Attendorn ist für mich, die schönste Tropfsteinhöhle in Deutschland. Seit über 100 Jahren ist sie nun zu besichtigen. Die Höhlenführer sind Fachleute, erklären alle und beantworten alles perfekt. Als Schüler ist man das erste Mal dort, dann wieder als Erwachsener. Ein Besuch, der sich lohnt. Auch das angrenzende Café-Restaurant Himmelreich, ist ein Besuch wert.
