The museum is not opened during the timeframe given. One has to klig the bell, helas, sometimes without electricity, so it often doies not work. The info tableau mentions to go to the white house (over the bridge, at the mountain) but in august 2010 the house was painted pink. One can call via a cellphonenumber, but as one is in a valey, there is no reach. Stand with your back against the church/museum, you face oposite a stairs. Climb them, and it is said one has reach overthere. Or better: make an appointment before leaving on holiday. Forearmed is forwarned. All in all it took us more than 30 minutes to search for the white (pink) house. Discription of the monasterychurch / museum: near Creglingen in the valley of the Steinach, there was once an isolated Cistercian nunnery, a foundation bequeathed by the landlords Konrad and Gottfried of Hohenlohe-Brauneck in 1232. The building was constructed in the form of an upper and lower church, which resulted in the uncommonly good acoustics for which the church is famous. The convent went into decline during the reformation and was partly destroyed during the peasants‘ revolt in the 16th century. The exhibition “From convent to village” shows how the village of Frauental slowly developed. Notable in the church: the division of the construction into an upper and lower church / Ribbed vaulting in the lower church / Baroque baptismal font; tomb slabs, arch above the altar / crypt where mummies were found (now just the coffins remain).
