The, view over one of the most beautiful cities in the world is breathtaking. The pizza is ok, the rest of the food are not so tasty. Prices are stiff and the waiting line is too long. Beer is good though.

You got a really nice view of Trondheim. So the consept is good to make a visit.But Egon as a restaurant,,hmmm... You have to selforder at the counter. I have eaten at Egons a few times, and I recommend to stear clear of the pastamenu... Pizzas are good,

The restaurant in the tower is not a highclass restaurant, but I like that. If it was a high class, restaurant it would be expensive, and I wouldn't afford to go there so often. But the food is ok, and not too expesive (not cheap either). But the view is stunning. I'm from Trondheim, but havent lived there for almost 20 years. Even though I know the city I love sitting in the spinning floor restaurant for at least an hour so I get to see the Whole city. The floors are spinning really slow, so you don't get dizy. It's a GREAT way to see Trondheim "from air". I've been there in the wintertime, spring, fall, daytime and after dark. You always see something new. It can be semi-romantic if you're 2 people, still family friendly if you're taking kids. The restaurant is shaped like an O, With the kitchen in the middle. The spinning floor is the top floor.

Very nice view of Trondheim. The tower spins around and there's a pizza restaurant on the top! If you're a big party you should probably book in advance.

Egon restaurant inside the tower than spins around its own cord given u a 360 view of the city while eating great lunch dishesor dinners,,in my case lunchwill be back with my family,since this were a buisness lunch

I have been several times to this place and it's one of my favorite places to eat out in Trondheim,especially it's location and the spectacular view from the restaurant. It's a great place to eat out, big choice of food, everything is fresh and well prepared. The only drawback is that if you want to have a good seat near the window,you will have to book at least one day earlier cause it gets pretty crowded and noisy during the weekends,so if you are fan of calm places,I would recommend eating there during the week. All in all,I really recommend this place:)

Me and my brother went there to eat. The fold was good and we had a good time. He got something wrong with the order and they fixed it, and we even got a free desert! Delicious!

In the grander scale of thing, this is not worth a detour. But if You are in the vicinity, it is worth a trip for the view. And children (and some other) will appreciate the rotating restaurant.The Egon restaurant (as common for the concept) is not a "feinschmecker" restaurant, and rather expensive. It can also be crowded at times, so You might need a booking.If possibly, time Your visit when it s dark or at least when it is not misty/cloudy. During roughky 1 h, the view can be impressive.

A truly awe inspiring view of the city which alone is worth the expensive food, but do not expect any finesse or taste experience as the food is quite lackluster. I personally feel it is best at night when you can see all the lights, but beware that it is usually long ques on weekend nights.

We had lunch in the busy restaurant high up in the tower. The food was quite OK, and tasty. The service was so and so, but the restaurant was full, so a little excuse for that. However, the real fasinating thin at the restaurant is the turning plattform. While you have your meal the platform moves round wery slowly. On a clear day (we had one!) you eventualy will se the whole of Trondheim 360 degree just sitting and looking out the windows while the floor is slowly turning your table around the tower.Parking is not a problem if you go by car, an if you are fit for a walk, you can easily walk back to the center, and se the eastern part of the town.

Egon have a restaurant on top of Tyholttårnet. Beside the good food you got a excellent view over Trondheim. The second floor of the restaurant is moving. In 1 hours you got a 360 panorama view of Trondheim. If you're not afraid of heights, you should order a table on the top of Tyholttårnet.

Very nice view all over Trondheim and also the typical good Egon Restaurant food. The pizza buffet until 6pm is very reasonable with only 107 NOK!

The view from the tower is spectacular, and you can see the entire city. I know there are mixed opinions regarding the restaurant. Of course, being part of the Egon restaurant chain, it is not exactly gourmet. However, in my opinion it is perfectly ok for families or a group of friends who want to enjoy the view and a have standard lunch/dinner.
