Minsk is my most favorite European city. I love everything there!!! My favorite, of course, is The Victory Square, but this one is beautiful too.

This very large square is just a nice place to have a relaxing little wander, or sit and enjoy the flowers, fountain and architecture around you. And as others noted, if you get bored, there's shopping and a metro underneath. On a sunny day, a nice place for a bit of a rest.

If you a tourist, you can not miss visiting this place, as it is right in the center. Very nice to spend couple hours sitting on the bench and looking around. From this point you will notice the beauty of architecture surrounded and may be meet some new friends, as the square is popular not just among the tuorist, but also with the locals.

This square represents a good introduction to typical athmosphere in Minsk. A university building, Belarus Parliament building, Minsk Hotel,the nice Red chruch, and a monument featuring three stroks with the bigger belarussian cities to symbolize independence. Underneath the square a local shopping centre can be found that is a bizarre mixture of a western shopping centre and state controlled building.

The Square is beautiful and a great place to sit on your own and get lost in your own thoughts and impressions either of the visit or just a general self introspection. It brought out a deep sense of an inner peace.

Minsk has a central square with Cathedral of St. Simon and St. Elena. Cathedral has a red colour. In front of a cathedral there are a statue of St. George´s and the Memorial nuclear explosions. There is a government building with a statue of V. I. Lenin´s. Main post office is on the corner.

Just unbeliveable...any millenium one`s in Finland were nothing versus this...! And we had seats in front of a large window in a restaurant to watch it lasting and lasting....

It is a good central square with lots of sights. Buildings of state universities, government buildings, monument to Lenin, Cathedral and monument with municipal coat of arms of Belarus centres.You can get here by metro (pl. Lenina station), bus 1. 100 or just 3 minutes walk from a railway station Minsk.Under the square is a trade centre Stolitsa.

Площадь внушает уважение и почти благоговейный трепет. Масштабно, сильно, монументально, торжественно. Теперь я понимаю, почему многие международные саммиты проходят именно в Минске. Не стыдно пригласить иностранных гостей.

Отличное место для отдыха и фотографий. Самая чистая площадь в мире)) Очень понравилось и была солнечная погода, Минск- город герой. И достопримечательности это оправдывают.

Площадь находится рядом с главным железнодорожным вокзалом. На ней можно увидеть главный корпус БГУ, Педагогический университет, красный костел, подземный торговый комплекс и множество статуй. На площади приятно находится, если не учитывать проспект и море машин, разделяющие её на 2 половины.

А что можно сказать про эту площадь? Центр города, вокруг сталинская застройка. Все красиво и ухожено. Минусы - большой поток машин и загазованность.

не многолюдно, интересно посмотреть центр Минска, в том числе, площадь Независимости. Рядом много интересных мест и кафе/ресторанов
