Really enjoyed day out at this museum. Excellent facilities for family and kids. If you are interested in the history of the British motorcar industry there is plenty to see and learn.Admission is a little pricey but you can return in one year as many times as u want.Off road bit is fun in land rover!

I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Heritage Motor Centre. In January I visited the London Classic Car Show and the HMC makes it pale into insignificance (and is cheaper too), unless you like staring at Italian exotica whilst people are trying to sell you stuff. Anyway, if you are interested in the history of British motoring the HMC will have something, probably quite a lot, for you.As well as beautifully presented cars from throughout the 20th century, there are motoring artefacts, memorabilia and small films being shown continuously. I also understand the cars on display are changed from time to time, and an extension to the exhibition space is being constructed.All the facilities here are high quality, including a good cafe with sensible prices. As I gift-aided my entrance fee I am entitled to free entrance during the next year - and I will go again.

Hi we went here as it was close-ish to us was great all the British cars and the land rover experience was good but its not a day out i took a photo of every single car there and we were only there 2 hour's so half a day out maybe it did only cost us £44 for 3 adults and 2 kids under 6 and we got a 12 months entry for that the land rover experience was £75 to ride along on a 4x4 course or you could drive it for £275. Thats all i can say about the heritage motor centre really

I went to the museum with my husband and 2 year old son. The first thing I noticed was how nice the woman was on reception. She spoke to all 3 of us and she informed us of the free push along cars that were supplied for children to use. The museum is extremely clean and you can get up close to the exhibits. There is a wide selection of cars on show and all three of us enjoyed the day. There were some vintage cars that kids were allowed to sit in and play areas scattered around. A member of staff approached us halfway round to make sure we were enjoying our day. The only downside was the cafe. There wasn't many options for adults and absolutely nothing for children which surprised me as they supply high chairs. So my son was only able to have a bag of crisps. Other than that we had a thoroughly enjoyable trip and would definitely visit again.

First thing for car enthusiasts - there is hardly any representation of Ford or Vauxhall here, so not exactly comprehensive re the British motor industry. It is not sure what it wants to be. There is quite a bit aimed at entertaining the kiddies which is understandable. But the exhibits contain a lot of one-offs, prototypes and concepts, which are rare but not necessarily interesting. That seems to compromise the whole place. Beaulieu has the combination right, this seems to have been designed by a committee of media nerds, and ex-industry people with a too narrow enthusiasm for certain eras and projects.

Lovely way to spend half a day. Very friendly relaxed venue. Lots of historic British vehicles with descriptions.

We had a weekend in the Midlands with two friends, who both love cars and know 'stuff' about them. On the other hand, my wife and I are not interested at all. It was with some trepidation that we decided to go to the Heritage Motor Museum, but, my goodness, what a great day out we had. The museum is laid out chronologically with vehicles and motoring facts everywhere you look. The restaurant is good for snacks and lunch and the whole museum is wheelchair friendly.An excellent day out which is highly recommended, even for non car geeks!

We were recommended this museum by friends who had spent a whole day there and we visited on our way to Stratford. It's of more interest if you really love cars (my husband does) but I found plenty to keep me interested. The (free) 45 minute tour at 11 15 and again at 2 15 is a good introduction and we learned a lot.as well as hearing several amusing anecdotes about some of the cars. For older visitors it's a real trip down memory lane - you recognise cars your parents/grandparents had or maybe even that you had in your youth.There are so many cars in the space available that it's hard to take it all in - this will improve when the new building is completed. We went on a Friday and there were very few visitors apart from a group of primary school children. You can climb up and into a couple of the old cars. There were several play areas for children and a dressing up box.By agreeing to Gift aid the cost of your ticket, you are entitled to return free of charge for 12 months - we shall certainly go again. There is masses of information attractively displayed on the walls - far to much for us to take in during just one visit.The food in the café was varied and reasonable priced.

we stopped on the way to Birmingham, car park quite full as half term. was very interesting and well laid out was good to see lots of children taking a keen interest in the cars and information. plenty of facts. Good café although again very busy but they seem to be coping.

we went as a family group.The men loved it as did the children as there are lots of hands on things for them to do us ladies enjoyed it but obviously not as good as the men.Cafe good.L Rover experience was good.

A very well laid out and interesting museum with a great collection of cars ranging from the really historic to some great modern rally cars. A good cafe and easy parking.

What does one look at first? Oh so many fine examples of British cars. Also prototypes, special one offs. We were like big kids again, guessing what manufacture the vehicles were.I remember reading my ABC book of cars back in the 60's, there was an illustration of the Rover gas turbine powered car and yes here it is in the metal.We were in there for nearly three hoursThe best bit is you can go again free within the next 12 months

A must for the motor enthusiasts. Excellent displays of vehicles and technology. Situated in attractive countryside near Gaydon. Off-road driving experience in Land Rover vehicles amazing

Very good historical car centre, so much to see well worth a visit. Staff very helpful and polite. Will definitely be visiting again great day out. Good displays with very good information about the vehicles. Not looking forward to the day to start with went with three blokes, but must say the visit changed my mind.

I love machines especially motor cars. If you are British and have ever owned a British car then this is the place for you. Lord Nuffield and Spen King get many mentions however Dr Porsche and the lovely Mercedes ( daughter of Mr. Benz) get no mention. There is of the course the first BMW motor car - in fact a rebadged Austin 7 present , the point is this is THE museum of the British motor car. Aston Martin, Jaguar , Rover, Rolls Royce, MG, TVR , AC, Marauder, Triumph, Bentley, Land Rover of course as well as Austin, Morris, Austin Healey, Lotus and many long forgotten names like Albion. Won't mention Ford, they are American after all- despite being built at Dagenham.As a man of a certain age it was great to take my family and be able to say " I had one of those, and those , and those etc. The Haynes museum is excellent, really seriously good, the National motor museum at Beaulieu is good but neither is a patch on this collection at Gaydon.
