Although only 15 minutes from my house I had never heard of this vineyard, until a friend suggested a small group of us go. I loved the whole experience. I knew next to nothing about wine but thanks to our wine tasting guide that changed. It was hard to determine which one was my favorite. It was a wonderful cheap girlfriend's catch up time excursion. I can't wait to go back!!

This little vineyard is tucked back on country roads. I went to a Christmas party at the vineyard and while there decided to try a wine tasting. Your sommelier (wine tasting expert) is very knowledgeable in his wines. I tried about 6 different wines; there may have been more, I started losing count!! Anyhow, I loved how the differences between the wines was explained. Of course I bought a bottle...or two! Wine runs around $10-$20 a bottle. I'm sure there are more expensive aged bottles but I stuck with the $10-20! Check out the website for prices. The tasting was included with the party I was with so I don't want to misinform you of a tasting price. Cheers!

Had a wonderful afternoon at Watermelon Creek Vineyard learning about wine tasting and the wonderful history of the winery.

I'm not a wine expert but I know what I like and found the wines tasted here crisp/clear/flavorful. Our favorite wine was the Altamaha River Red which will recruit fans from the ranks of non-wine drinkers--sweet but not too sweet to enjoy with a meal. We found the gift shop charming and a good place to fill a gift basket There are other products from the vinyard yield (jam, pepper jelly, barbecue sauce, syrup, hot sauce) as well as honey from the local hives to supplement the wines. In addition there are gift shop items that support local artists and charitable causes. Owners Deborah and Charles were very hospitable and made us feel at home here.

My husband and I finally visited the vineyard after living in the area for a while. The owners were very pleasant and talkative and made us feel welcome. The wine is great (we personally love the Lane's Bridge Red and Stafford's Ferry White) and they offer an appetizer plus a bottle of wine for $25! (We shared the Bruschetta and it was both delicious and filling). The atmosphere is cozy and I can see how a wedding here would be great. The prices of the wine and treats aren't "tourist prices". I can't wait to go back and visit!

Went to an office luncheon there and had a great time. This was a special catered event arranged by Tommy Hilliard, not something they serve everyday. But I recommend them for special catered events or small get togethers. Very nice. Will be taking friends and family there as they usually have a little something going on Saturdays starting at noon. Nice little gift shop as well.

Wonderful place to visit! Lots to see and enjoy. Great wines, cheeses, food and gift shop. Highly recommend attending a high tea! Best place for a party.

When my daughter said she wanted to get married at a vineyard between the grapevines, I thought she was crazy. As it ends up, she had a beautiful and romantic outdoor wedding. The owners, Charles & Deborah, are wonderful people and made sure the wedding went perfect - which it did. I would recommend Watermelon Creek Vineyard to anyone who enjoys Mother Nature at her finest.
