We stayed with a friend om Schnebly hill road and had great acess to town and hikes. Our fav sunset place was off Margo trail.

Very easy to access. The sky turns colors in dozens of different hues in a matter of minutes. A definite must see for anyone visiting Sedona.

The old (and tough) way into Sedona. More suited to trail bikes and other off-highway transport. But great views of Red-Rock Country. With the right guide, a memorable tour.

Wonderful view the road can be a little rough. At the top there is pine forest. Many auto ads were filmed there.

There is a sign warning not to take your vehicle unless you have 4-wheel drive and raised suspension. I went with a friend in her truck that was 4-wheel drive so it was OK but her suspension was not raised and we did bang the undercarriage. The sky was overcast but we waited and there was enough clearing to witness a gorgeous sunset.

We did the Pink Jeep Tour and the drive up was a bit excruciating- there is no road, just parts of pavement and rock jutting out at all angles; one trip was enough for me. The vistas are gorgeous, evening before sunset is a gorgeous time to book, and we had the place to ourselves.

This was the most beautiful panoramic view that we experienced in Sedona. We rented a jeep and did the trail ourselves without any problem. We really enjoyed climbing carousel rock and taking pictures all along the road. The top part of the trail was closed for the winter, but we were not disappointed with what we were able to see. We rented our jeep from Barlows and they were fantastic. They gave us trail maps and suggestions that were very helpful. We Used being on our own instead of booking one of the local tours.

This 4X4 trail was not rated as hard as it shoulda been. The Pink Jeep tours rule this trail...BEWARE... The vistas are great and when we went the road was closed for winter 4 miles in, but what a 4 miles it was... High clearance a must!

Schnebly Hill Road is a different view of Sedona, as beautiful, as breath taking but another angle. You will need four wheel drive with very high ground clearance or to take a tour guide. The road is very rocky but well worth the time.

Ver rough rocky road. Rented a ATV from Sedona ATV and Buggy rental. Do that and use them for sure. Saw some folks take trucks. Would not do that to something I owned or a rental car. Local tour will take you there as well

Please rent a SUV, if you bring a rental car or your own you won't be making it without major damages to either your suspension or underside of the car. The views all the way up to the top are simply spectacular! No need to drive back once you reach the top. Continue on the dirt road which will eventually lead you back to I-17 and then back to the exit that brings you down through Oak creek canyon.

You really cannot miss or go wrong anywhere as you hike and drive through the Sedona area. All the vistas are pretty much breathtaking and remarkable. The Schnebly Hill Road is no exception. Just do it!

you need either a 4x4 or a rental car, lolamazing views & scenery, beautiful country but it's not a smooth road

This is one ROUGH road, my friends. NOT for the inexperienced. Best to take one of the paid tours. The scenery is awesome.

We have been on this road a couple of times. The best way to view this is by ATV. But truck or jeep is good as well. Great views and pictures.. this road eventually extends all the way to Mormon Lakes.
