If you are at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, going to The Bright Angel Point is a "Must Do". It is a very pleasant walk from the parking lot to the point I even saw people in wheel chairs and walkers going to and from the point on the pathway. The view is spectacular!!

great trail. Views are absolutely amazing. Be careful, walk down is a breeze. Walk back is a challenge. Be thoughtful before taking this task. It is not as easy as they rate it. Many folks were really challenged on the way back. We ended up calling for help for one 73 year old who was really struggling on the way up. Views are absolutely amazing. One of the trips overall highlights.

From this vantage point we saw a very wide view of the canyon and all of its colorful formations. We also were visited by squirrels and various birds. They seemed a bit disappointed that we did not feed them. We were here at several times of day and noted that the colors change with the movement of the sun.

This is by far one of the best hikes into the canyon. Make sure you have LOTS of water, as there are only 2 spots on the hike where you can refill your canteens. The hike down is easy, and once you hit the indian river you're almost to the lookout. Just make sure to reserve some energy for the hike back up!!! All in all, highly recommend.

...This is usually the first really good view of the North Rim as the trail starts beside the Grand Canyon Lodge. In about half mile, you will reach the Bright Angel Point, on the edge of the rim. The highlights of this attraction are views all the way down into the steepness of the canyon and access to a straight line of sight into its depth. It is also, probably, one of the easiest walks to the rim.

We were dropped off here and it was our only vista from the edge (literally). Great views and a trail if you're up (down) for it. Cafe, shops and toliets are all available here.

This seems to be where most of the action is. People everywhere but still you can block them out by looking into the canyon. Plenty of benches and facilities.

Nice views and could see the trail winding down to the floor of the canyon for a short distance. You can hike down (better be in shape with all of the survival equipment, etc. You can do the mule ride. We didn't but looks like an adventure.

We liked that it is a great spot for viewing sunrise or sunset. It is within a short walk from our rooms.

Bright Angel Point has a great mix of views and attractions. There is a small walkway grazing a rim of the canyon; there is also a restaurant in this area which serves great food and is a welcoming sight for hungry hikers (the view from here is amazing!). Visit as many "Points" as you can!

Then again, you will have great views wherever you stand on the rim of the canyon. It really is an amazing site and one is awe struck by it's size.

This would have been fantastic if we got a good sunset. Unfortunately nature di dnot oblige but its a great spot to watch day turn to night. Milky Way was very clear.

A beautiful spot in which to view the canyon. It's in the village so there are a few shops and a couple of restaurants to visit. The vistas are amazing. There's a water station here to refill bottles, benches to sit for a rest, hotels, inns, lodges, cabins, mule barns, train station. A must visit spot.

It's a good place to start your trip. I don't know how is it in summertime, but october was hot during the day and crowded. It was hard to deal with people who want you out when taking your pictures. You need tons of patience specially with young and not educated people.

The views are simply astonishing, of course. The trail is easy, although there are not a lot of railings, so be careful! If you are afraid of heights, just forget it. Stay on the back deck of the Lodge! Take it slow walking back, as it is slightly uphill, and if you have not yet acclimated to the elevation, you will find your heart pounding! A ranger is posted at the Point, and he was very available and informative. We found out some things we would not otherwise have known about, like the "Tarantula Hawk" beetle that was sitting in a nearby tree.
