BC is the first and best of the JAX micro brew scene, Super friendly family vibe there. Best prices that make supporting local beer a 2 way street. You can tell this place was opened for the love of the product and not because it was the new trendy business venture.

I really enjoyed the tap room at this brewery. I love the atmosphere. It was chilly the night we went there, so we stayed inside, but just outside the tap room, they have another bar, corn hole, and other games. The beer was really good. The bartender was really nice and attentive. I can't wait to go back here!

Enjoy the laid back neighborhood atmosphere. The son/mother owners are wonderful. Had our daughter's graduation party there and it was great. Wonderful beer and the man who cooks in the alcove did a great job with the grillings and best baked beans I've ever had. Just a very fun, social time. Love the games sitting around that you can play while you're sitting there at the bar. Recommend the sampler.

I can't say enough about this place! Family owned, locally run and always busy! There is food to eat (jolly man...yum!) beer to drink, Nd at time, entertainment .. It's got that home town feel, very relaxed, and always inviting..take Stockton exit off I -10... Thurs... Sun only.. Stop by if you've got a chance!

In a word, great! They have a nice selection of beers. I'm not much of a beer fan but I love their Killer Whale Pale Ale. Light and smooth. $3.50 a pint is a great price. They certainly need a larger sign that tells you HEY here we are but don't let the scary warehouse look deter you. Lots of businesses in this complex, ample parking and nice food choices from Jolly Mon. Try the wings!!! Best in town! They are baked then crisped up when you order. Fall off the bone delicious. The staff are all very nice and knowledgable about the beers. They are only open Thursday and Friday 3pm until the last person leaves and Saturday 1pm until the last person leaves.

This brewery is a Jax original. While keeping the home town feel with home town prices this beer is as tasty as is original. Seasonal specials such as Big Johns Apricot go quickly which is a testament to the quality of beer.

I've lived in JAX for about four years and sometimes yearn for the big city with all of its local movements in the food and drink scene. Well Bold City gave me a reason why I don't need the big city! It's in a nondescript building in an interesting part of town, but understandable since they do have a business to run. The tasting room / bar is cute and homey and a great place to get a beer and fill up your growler - for super cheap. The brew-tenders are super friendly and nice. Plus they give free tours. The owner interacts with people and obviously is proud of his business and passionate about it. It's nice to see the residents of JAX supporting local business! I wish Bold City continued success!!

While visiting my relative who recently moved to Jacksonville we visited Bold City based on a recommendation. I will admit we were leery when we drove in to the parking lot to find a warehouse building with no major signage present...don't let that deter you! The staff is incredibly friendly and offer a free sampler for your first visit. Their beer is good & has a wide range (wish they would have had the Amber for us to try) with very affordable pricing. Highly recommend this for a fun afternoon in Jacksonville!!!

I went in seeking out the good breweries in Jacksonville. This was definitely one of them. Tasty brews and a cool little pub area. I wouldn't bring a large group here as the pub is very tight.A separate company in conjunction with the brewery sells BBQ right outside the front door. Good brews, although they could afford to work on the water profile a bit. They give you a flight of their beers for free to try all of them as long as you buy a pint or 3 afterwards! The employees are also very helpful. I asked the bartender for other recommendations beer/brewery wise and he gave me more than enough.

One of my favorite beers is brewed here, the 1901- dark and yummy. Come with games to play, relax and try some great beer. My husband's favorite is the Dukes. Have a flight of beers and decide which one is your favorite! Very casual relaxed atmosphere, small space.

If you are looking for a microbrew come here if not don't bother. They have a small brewery "tour". It was interesting but not something that you HAVE to see if you're in Jacksonville.

Bold City is a great experience and the staff is very welcoming and friendly! Brewery tours were offered, samples of every beer were offered as it was out first visit, and the beers are very good. Jacksonville should be proud to have these guys doing business in our town! We played scrabble while trying the beers and it turned out to be an awesome afternoon!

During our visit to Jacksonville, we decided to look up wineries/breweries. We had already been to San Sebastian several times as well as the Budweiser Brewery, so we were looking for something new. We came across Bold City Brewery online and decided to give it a try. It's easy to miss as you're driving because the outside sign is small. When we first pulled up, we looked at each other nervously, but inside was actually really nice! The bar area is tastefully decorated (love the Boxer-dog images!) and seems warm and inviting. The warehouse area is large and seems perfect for large parties and/or groups. If it's your first time visiting, they will give you a fairly decent-sized free sampler of eight - that's right, EIGHT - beers. The owner's son and another worker helped us and talked to us about the beers, assisting us in discovering which ales we'd like best. They were very friendly, answered all of our questions, talked to us about the brewery, and even offered to take us on an unscheduled tour of the brew-making section (which we didn't take him up on because we didn't want to keep him from his other customers). Their normal brew tour is on Saturdays. They told us which stores nearby sold their beer in can/bottle form and what beers were available. We ended up buying a quart growler - which is refillable - of the Fritz & Chinook to bring home with us and driving by a store to purchase a 12 pack of Duke's.The beer prices are reasonable, the taste is good, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Can't ask for too much more than that!
