The sand was white the waters were blue with dolphins swimming close by. Waterline fir the kids asking with a large playground area. Entertainment close by with craft vendors at sunset.

From sunset to 11pm, take the family to the pier. Carnival - like atmosphere, side walk vendors, ice cream, and the "alien" with boom box, a never a dull moment experience. Let the kids bung jump while you and the spouse walk the pier and by a local product or two.

This is one of the most chill out but still busy place. Weather is always perfect, you can swim in the ocean at wintertime!

Really, who charges to walk across the Pier? Really? Big disappointment. Next disappointment were the vendors. I saw better things on the beach in Jamaica. Makes the Pier appear trashy.

The sand is a powdery white and very soft! The water was clean and inviting. Plenty of beach to lay a towel out on or you can rent chairs. There is paid fishing opportunities off of the Pier 60 as well.

It is a great place to share a sunrise or sunset, stroll the beach, people watch and, of course, Saturday nights are great with all the vendors and the band (free!). They also have free movie nights on Friday and Saturday. Bring your lawn chairs, blankies and coolers and enjoy a movie under the stars. Great date night location too, and close to all the beach restaurants. Can you tell - I Love Pier 60 and Clearwater Beach! It is a must see for all.

We were there a few months ago and I can clearly remember how crazy traffic and parking was around that place especially on weekends between 10 and 1pm. that being said this is by far the most beautiful beach in the area and Pier 60 is where you want to be! There is so much going on around the Pier that you will be entertained for hours. There are great places to eat all around as well as some great shopping. This is definitely the best spot on Clearwater beach if you are looking for fun and distractions!

Early visit was better...not as crowded. Crowd seemed to pick up as we were leaving at 10:30am. Lots of shells and birds! Gentleman made me a palm tree flower bouquet on the board walk!

This is an excellent and well maintained pier with a low entry fee and the fishing can be quite good. But the cost of parking is OUTRAGIOUS!! When I go to a pier to fish I usually spend the entire day, from open to close, or about 18 hours if it's open 24 hrs a day. At this pier that could cost more than $75. Sorry, Clearwater is a nice place, but it seams to me they only want the passer by to fish this pier. If you want to spend any time on this pier, you need to find someone to drop you off and pick you up later.

Okay but too bad all the sellers are hawking what I would call junk. Could have more local artists and culture around the area.

We go to Pier 60 every time that we go to Clearwater Beach. A trip to Clearwater Beach is not complete without a trip out on the pier. That is a great place to catch a glimpse at Dolphins swimming by. You can see them off of the end of Pier 60 quite often.

Of course, any sunset celebration is a fun experience ... how can you be upset with a sunset? We weren't disappointed with that, but the area is terribly congested. Parking is impossible to find, and many spots are limited to only 2 hours. The beach and pier are super crowded, and you have to pay to get out to the very end of the pier. It's only $1, but still.The street performers are good ... but all of them have the same spiel that they're poor street performers, and "no one pays me to be here" and "please donate what you think the show is worth ... 10s, 20s" ... TENS and TWENTIES? Yeah, it was a good show, but had you not demanded a $20, I might have given you a few bucks. The drive back south on Gulf Blvd was AWFUL. Traffic BARELY crawled - all due to a traffic light at Walsingham, and peeps trying to make a left. It took us an HOUR to go 3 miles. We will not return to Clearwater.

Loved Pier 60. So much going on will diffidently visit again. Love the vendors on the pier and the performers. Pain $1.00 to visit the end of the pier. Was well worth it.

Pier 60 is the place in Clearwater to watch the sunset. The nightly celebration is a fun event to go to for fun and street entertainment. Many vendors participate nightly selling their wares, to provide you with trinkets to take home.
