The Rodin Sculpture Garden is at the top of my list to take visitors coming to Stanford for the first time. the garden itself is stunning and peaceful, with the backdrop of world-class sculptures. there is also a great restaurant (by Jessie Cool) which overlooks the garden.

Just sit and look at these stunning works, snooze, read a book and then look again! In quite a small space with a cafe adjacent and two art galleries a day goes by very easily. And it is free entry!Oct 14 Note spoilt a little by the construction work being done to neighbouring building.

Rodin's garden is my favorite spot on campus. I walk and/or bike there at least every other month, and always take friends when visiting. It's a peaceful and serene place where you can seat to read, meditate, or just enjoy Rodin's amazing work. The design of the garden is a very good replica of Rodin's museum in Paris. The Gates of Hell remains my favorite piece. While in the garden remember to visit the museum where you will find more of Rodin's work.

The Rodin Sculpture Garden is a favorite of mine on the Stanford Campus. It has amazing Rodin pieces as well as shade and places to sit and enjoy a picnic lunch. It is close to the art museum on campus.

I love it because the art work is so powerful, the garden is beautiful, there are ample benches, picnic tables and lawn for a quiet afternoon. Very kid-friendly. Plus, the neighboring Cantor Arts museum is free and has a nice cafe. If you love Rodin, be sure to venture toward the Stanford Memorial Church for the installation of the Burgers of Calais. Very powerful.

Such a cool garden of art, totally free and so amazing! Just to see Rodin's Gates of Hell is amazing but there's a dozen more sculptures to see. Easy parking, easy to get to, close to the center of the campus but by the Cantor Art Gallery.

What one cannot see in the Photo, is the gigantic mortarless snake built by British Artisans who were flown in to do the work.Another Rodin Garden is located in the gateway leading to the Quad. Stanford University is our favorite; although Persis earnedgot Teaching Credentials at CAL.

This is a nice place to visit to enjoy a bagged lunch or drink while soaking up the weather and nice Rodin statue views! Parking is fee based until after late afternoon (call for times) when it is free. Keep in mind that there are many visitors and parking spaces are hard to find. Think about going inside the art museum, even if for a short while. To avid art museum devotees: you could spend quite a bit of the day inside.

On the beautiful Stanford campus, the Rodin sculpture garden is a fun, free place to visit. Featuring several works of Rodin, including the Gates of Hell, this garden is open night and day.

We went to the Cantor Center for the Visual Arts at Stanford university to see the sculpture garden and the Rodin pieces housed inside as well. There are about 400 Rodin works at the Center, the largest collection outside of Paris. I wish we'd planned a little better so we could have spent more time there - it was really rather overwhelming. My wife and I were still jet lagged from our flight from Korea the day before, but the guide was lively and her talk on the history and meaning of the pieces was interesting even through our mental fog. We didn't even get around to seeing the other art exhibits the Center has to offer (Native American, Mesoamerican, etc.), but we will next time we're in the area. Everyone in our party was an adult. I'm not sure kids or teens would like it that much, though.
