My husband and I ate here 3 times (because we had coupons). The first time, I thought the cold cauliflower puree, super salty calamari and raw meat, was a fluke. The second time, the raw salmon, raw meat and dirty silverware made me leery. The third time, the frozen wilted caesar salad and RAW MEAT AGAIN, drove me out! Whoever is cooking there is putting the place out of business. The servers were very nice but there is NO WAY I would go back again.

Sorry this is where I ate not qt the park. See my Ft. Vancouver rating for Grant's house. I had the Beet Risotto with cauliflower and shared a pumpkin cheesecake.

Great food, great service plus a do it yourself tour of the house looking for the ghosts! We didn't find any.

I just moved here and have always been a history buff and had a amazing time exploring this park. The barracks were so clean and groomed. It just rained that morning so everything was so clean and smelled fresh.. it was like going back in time. I would recommend anyone who loves history to at least drive the grounds if coming through town. Even if you live here its a must!!

Restaurant in historical home. Beautiful grounds! Our meal, from appetizer to dessert, was delicious! We sat outside in garden area...lovely!

It is not a common experience to have a fine meal in a house that was once the home an iconic leader, and here Ulysses S. Grant. What with the many American flags flying on the expansive front porch, where meals are also served in warm weather, one's dining experience is enhanced with the long history of this magnificent home turned restaurant. One really feels the history of this setting, and it is a good feeling.Four of us had a terrific meal, beginning with well-made and interestingly-crafted cocktails and with a well-priced local pinot gris. The fish, meat, and risotto dishes were presented by an attentive server who also shared the history of Grant House. And most importantly, the food was appropriately cooked, in generous portions, and quite delicious. Clearly this is a place to which we will be returning. The restaurant is located in Fort Vancouver--a national treasure, which is beautifully maintained and well worth a visit on its own.

This is an upscale restaurant that mainly caters to couples, teens, and business people. It is one of the houses on Officer's Row. They serve a variety of foods here, and they are all expensive too! It is an elegant restaurant. I ate a steak dinner there one time, and I could cut the steak with a table knife it was so tender. They also have some drinks available at your request and as shown on the menu. I prefer to drink Coke myself. If you are able to pay the high cost for your meal, then you will never forget the food at this restaurant.

We have eaten here for lunch and dinner, but most recently have been going for Happy Hour. They have an interesting menu for which ever choice of dining you choose. Happy Hour is only available in the bar which has very limited seating.

My wife and I toured the old airfield and the surrounding military barracks--wonderful walking with many trees and lawns (parade fields). We then went to Grant House for drinks and snacks. The bar is well stocked with good service and good music on some evenings. We liked it so much we called friends at a downtown hotel to join us for dinner. The cuisine was very good. The service was helpful and amiable. Be sure to ask to see the old logs evident in a hallway--house is of 1859 vintage. Parking was easy and it is less than five minutes from the town center.

One word... boring! So so food and service. Uninteresting Spaghetti Factory decor. Nice that there is so much history in the building and surrounding area, otherwise there isn't any there there.

U S Grant served at the fort but never lived in this house. It was named for him afterwards. The house is now an upscale eatery with many fine wines. We ate sandwiches and fries and then played with kids on the lawn.I would have rated this as a restaurant rather than an attraction.

Part of Vancouver's Officer's Row. Quiet street with huge old maples. Interesting pictures and good food. Parking is across the street and there are steps up to the huge porch where you can dine in good weather.

We attended a private wedding reception at the Grant House, a circa 1800's house on historic Officer's Row in Vancouver. It's a beautiful example of architecture from the day and, as the name implies, was once he residence of General U.S. Grant during his tour of duty at the Vancouver Army Barracks. For a smallish crowd, the Grant House is a delightful venue. Plenty of space indoors and outdoors. And the food was delicious, served buffer style; also by service personnel wandering around with tasty morsels. For public use the Grant house serves dinner and has a cozy bar.

This is located at the Fort. Grant served in this area and we are fortunate to still have his old house being available for tours.
