Regardless of your interests, this place will have something you've been looking for. I try to explore this place at least a couple times a month...it's always changing! Staff is friendly and very helpful.

We have made yearly visits here for at least a decade to browse and look for unexpected necessities. They have a several floors with good displays of antiques, coins, pictures, junk, etc. Putnam used to have several more antique places but it seems bistros and restaurants are taking over. Good town to stop both for the antiques and the food.

We've visited this place so many times and, still, find so much to see. Both the items in the cases and the ones "out and about" keep changing. After having lunch at "85 Main", we always come here to poke around. We keep saying, " Let's pop in for half an hour", and before we know it, ninety minutes have gone by. Many nooks and crannies to explore. We always find an outstanding treasure. This time, it was a spotless vintage tablecloth, which I can't wait to get home and set out on our Pottery Barn dining table. It will look so lovely.By the way, they've got very clean bathrooms, in the back, on the ground floor.

Antique Marketplace is a fun place to find special deals. They have four floors of antiques and collectables with friendly and knowledgeable floor people to help you make your choices. The nice thing is they don't push you or try to "sell" you. They will answer your questions not try to steer you wrong.

Over 200 dealers and many beautiful antiques. Something for everyone! Large array of quality jewelry and costume jewelry, toys and games, vintage clothing, furniture, pottery, glassware, clocks, paintings and a very large collection of coins.

We had a chance to stop into the Antique Marketplace in Putnam Connecticut and I have to say...Boy am I glad I did!!!! What a great place! It is located in an old shopping store and is three and 1/2 floors of treasures. It is a multi-dealer shop and there is literally something for everyone. There are "true" antiques such as Craftsman & Primitive furniture, wonderful paintings, and rare glass & pottery. Plus there are vintage items from all periods, collectibles, vintage & gently used clothing & jewelry, toys...you name it, it can probably be found at the Marketplace. The staff was wonderful, friendly & courteous and the shop is open 7 days a week from 10 - 5 which is great because you will need the day to get through the shop! Most of the things I looked at were very reasonably priced and I found out that if it is not marked "net" and is over $20.00 you can ask for 10% off and if it is over $50.00 they will call the dealer for a better price. They made a call for me on an item and the dealer came down 25%!!!! They even have lockers by the front desk to put your purse so your hands are free to explore! Wonderful place, can't wait to go back!!! Side note...wonderful restaurants in the area too!

I travel here for southeastern Massachusetts every month or 2. It is a very nice shop. The displays are well set up and offer a good selection of antique/vintage merchandise. Not a lot of flea market/yard sale junk like I have seen at some places. My wife mainly is interested in vintage jewelry and the selection here is enormous. She really enjoys coming here and we will return in the near future.

There are some simple and some spectacular items here. From $3 old glass cream jars to pottery worth thousands. The first floor is the more expensive and the bulk of it is in glass cases. The second floor is a dense series of display cubbies containing dishes, lead glass windows, furniture, etc. Some of the collections feel like a museum visit or the emptying of your granny's attic. It does take a few hours to go through the whole building, the first floor is slower, peering into the densely packed glass cabinets.

Antiques Market place located in downtown Putnam is a great place to spend a rainy afternoon. With three floors of antiques there is so much to see. I have found the people that work there to be very helpful and courteous. Be sure to look in all the little nooks and crannies because the place is packed full of all sorts of interesting items. Around each corner is a treasure waiting to be found. The more expensive items are locked up but all you have to do is ask and they are more than happy to open the cases so you can get a better look at the items. Happy Hunting !!!!!

Every year, we are in the Putnam CT area for about 2 weeks, and whenever we have lunch downtown, we then cross the street to canvass this fascinating place. It is packed with all sorts of antiques and collectibles, and every year, we do shop, as we find tremendous bargains. In fact, we bring our bubblewrap from Tucson as we know that we will definitely be buying things here, and we want to get fragile items home undamaged. The more expensive stuff is in locked cabinets, but just ask, and they will unlock it. The staff is very nice and we love this place.

The only thing I did not like was that alot of the antiques were in locked cases. Other than that people were very helpful and it was a very nice store.
