sea life aquarium

We decided to come here because my 8yr old daughter wanted to visit on her birthday. She loved it! I thought maybe there could be few more exhibits for the price, and it was extremely crowded, but my daughter thought it was wonderful. Best part is the 360 shark tunnel!

We just visited the attraction and it was really cool. The boys (5yrs) were amazed at how close and up front they could be with the sea life. They pet starfish and walk thru the aquarium tunnel with sea life everywhere top and bottom. The took pictures and they enjoyed the play land inside. Make sure you get tickets in advance online to avoid the line. Kids don't care for long lines...The twins had a blast and so did mom and dad. It takes about 2 hours to see and do it all. Worth it though.

I would definitely describe this as a children's aquarium. Came here on a weekday with a few friends and our gaggle of small humans and had a great experience. First, if you are planning ahead to visit this place, get your tickets online and give yourself more than a day of lead time. They sell out of the online discount tickets and you won't be able to acquire one if you go online to buy one the day of your visit. Second, go right at opening. We arrived shortly after 10 and there were hardly any other people there. Granted, school still wasn't out for the summer, but during the school year this is a great place to take a super little one (kids under 3 are free). There are tons of different fish in attractive environments. Most of the displays are low enough to the ground that a toddler can put their little face right up to the glass and admire the fish. The space is designed nicely, and there are a few tanks with glass bubbles in them that your kiddo can peek through to make them feel like they are inside the tank. Hard to describe, but a pretty cool feature. The 360-degree tunnel was neat. The sharks are pretty small but the tank they're swimming in is interesting to look at (as opposed to the plain one at the Dallas World Aquarium). There are a couple of touch tanks at the end, and my kid really loved being able to touch a starfish. There is also a soft play area that isn't horribly impressive. Make sure you have socks in your bag for your kid if you want them to use this, because shoes aren't allowed. Highly recommend this aquarium to those with very young children. The bigger kids we saw looked like they were enjoying themselves, too. It only took about an hour to get through. I'm sure you could stretch the visit if you wanted it to last longer, but an hour was perfect for a toddler's attention span.

This was our 2nd stop (after Legoland Discovery Center) for my daughter's birthday. We bought a combo ticket online with Legoland. We liked the fact that they were both located in the Grapevine Mills Mall. We spent about 1.5 hours walking through. The kids love aquariums and sea life, so they had a great time. I really enjoyed the "walk through" aquarium where you're completely surrounded by sea life. My son loved seeing the sharks. My daughter's favorite part was being able to touch the starfish. I really liked the jellyfish tank and watching them "turn" colors. The variety of tanks and sea life was really great!

The displays are well maintained and informative. Very "kid" oriented.Get the "behind the scenes" tour. Lots of stuff goes on at an aquarium like this that is very interesting.

We visited the Sea Life Aquarium in Grapevine with a bit of apprehension. After visiting aquariums like Atlanta and Dallas World we felt like an aquarium in a mall would be a terrible let down. Much to our surprise this aquarium was very well done. It is not as large as the aquariums I mentioned above not does it have as many creatures to view.....but they have a wonderful variety and a lot of neat interactive features. This is well worth the price of admission and we would go back in a heartbeat.

We stumbled into Sea Life Aquarium because we were on vacation at Great Wolf Lodge, and discovered the Lego Discovery Center. We only went to the Aquarium because it was right next to Lego and you could buy a combined ticket. WHAT A FIND! We loved the aquarium. Now, it is a standard part of every Dallas visit. Sea Life is fun for both of my children, who are 6 years apart, and fun for us. The oldest won't go to Lego anymore. It sounds expensive at the door, but it is very much a value add. There are discounts as well, if you buy ahead of time.
