This is a small museum in a historic 1880s building in downtown Texarkana. There is ample parking at street right by building and a non discounted price of 5.00 for entrance. They have a nice musical instrument display including a piano played by Scott Joplin. There are sections on Caddo Native Americans as well as military and pioneer exhibits. There was a display on loan from Smithsonian about Grand Canyon photography so I assume they have changing exhibits as well. If you're downtown and have 30-45 minutes to stop check it out

Located at the intersection of Stateline Avenue and 3rd Street, the Museum of Regional History (MoRH) tells the story of this area's past through exhibits and interactive music exhibits. It has exhibits on agriculture, civil rights, costumes and pottery made by the area's indigenous people, the Caddo Indians. They also had a special exhibit on temporary loan from the Smithsonian about the area's racial background which I found to be very interesting. I especially enjoyed the exhibit about Congressman Wright Patman who had served our area for many years. .The Museum of Regional History also houses the Wilbur Smith Research Library and Archives which has a collection of over 10,000 documents and photographs about the area and its people. It is open to the general public by Appointment Only. Call (903) 793-4831.The museum changes a nominal fee for admission but Senior Rates (over 62) and group rates for groups of 12 or more are available. The MoRH is open from Tuesday - Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Parking is available on the street.
