I biked to Mantoloking Beach last week and they are bringing back the beautiful beach after the worst storm in history in 2012....it is shaping up and will be as beautiful as it once was very soon!

It is the greatest beach to visit. I live in the area and was devastated to see the destruction of the storm but will be back as soon as allowed to enjoy the sights of the beach and beautiful homes. It is a pleasure to walk around in this area

To drive by and see the beaches and the amount of sand that came across the roads and destroyed all these homes heartbreaking. These people must be so mad at this storm. All you see is plows and bulldozers and dump trucks and police and army trucks and personnel. Roads are blocked off, the best you can do is drive by and see.

There is basically NO PARKING in Mantoloking and beach access is practically impossible. This is thier approach to keeping the general public out of their town and off their beach......SHAME on Mantoloking!

Thanks to Sandy it is no longer beautiful but it will be again. There are people working to restore it

Great beach. But after the storm, it will need time to heal the wounds. Let's see what next summer bring in terms of getting the sand redistributed on the beach.

Went for a walk with my husband and some friends on this wonderful long stretch of private beach on the evening of my birthday after dining at Leggets. With waterfront homes and a great family feel....can't wait to come back during the day with the kidees....would be a great place to rent for a week, a weekend or even the summer!

If you can actually find a place to enter the beach that would be great. There are only a few public accesses and near them absolutely NO PARKING. So you have to park at least a mile away to even be able to walk onto the beach. For the priveledged few who own the mansions even though taxpaying dollars replenish the beach sand. Boo.

Visited the area after many years - and it was still the beautiful and tranquil place I remembered growing up there in the '70's and '80s. This area is still unspoiled and largely immune from the influx of tourists that tend to make Seaside Heights and sadly, even Point Pleasant almost unbearable during the summer months. We visited Mantoloking in June, and there was barely a soul on the beach - save for a few surfers and beachcombers picking up shells further down in either direction. Still fun to wander the shoreline, and see the gulls swooping over the Atlantic.

Some of the most magnificent estate-like homes along the Jersey Shore are located in Mantoloking, just south of Bay Head on Rt 35. Park before crossing the bridge and walk over the bridge for a scenic walk to the public domain opening directly across Rt. 35. Be sure to place your blanket and chairs beyond the high tide mark or the locals will yell at you. State law allows anyone to partake of the ocean attractions as long as you are at the high tide line or closer to the water. A great free beach, but be aware there are absolutely no amenities, bathrooms, or consessions, just a great free beach.

If you can get access to this beach, it's a bit more private then the Brick beaches. No parking. This is basically a private beach.
