The staff was great about answering questions about the different beers. We happened to visit when they were tapping a new beer. Please know that this is not a fancy 'bar' - they only serve beer. If you appreciate craft beer, you will love this little place.

We had a 6-beer sampler here and loved all of them. We even took a 6 pack home with us. All of the beer was super fresh and flavorful!The bartender was really nice and helped us with taxi and transportation ideas as well as being extremely knowledgeable about the beers.There's no food (beyond bags of chips) but there's outdoor seating and fabulous drinks to be had!

Great River Brewery is cranking out some great beers. They are creative without going over the top. This place is part of the historically significant side of Davenport which hit rock bottom about 15 years ago but has turned out to be the coolest part of town. There are some interesting spots to check out on the same block. A new distillery, an antique store, a vintage car restoration shot, a great used record store and a world class vintage clothing store.Did I say the beer is great?

I always make it point to visit Great River while in Davenport. This brewery has a nice tap room on premise, and offers a wide selection of their core and seasonal beers. My favorite is the Dirty Blonde, which is a seasonal beer with a light hint of chocolate; truly outstanding. I also sampled the Copper Ale, which is a small batch seasonal beer done for the Bix race. Also a fantastic brew!

Good microbrew with a nice selection. Located in downtown Davenport near the dam and river. Service is good but only serves beer, no food. Worth the stop if you are looking for a place to hang out for the evening.

Maybe this is not my thing, but the service is bad and flies are everywhere. I did not care for the beers I tried or for the limited soft drink list. The patio is nice if it's not filled by the time you get there. The bathrooms are gross.

This place is great. Friendly staff, several brews made on premises ranging from Stouts to IPA and a few specialty ales (the Dirty Blonde is my favorite). The night we were in there they were selling half price pints whenever the bridge over the river was open. Both inside and patio seating are available, you can watch the river traffic. They are not set up to serve food.

This place has awesome beer and if the weather is nice, it's a perfect place to sit outside and enjoy a drink.

We took a day trip to the quad cities to play. Great river has a quaint tap room, a dozen chairs, with the addition of a stylish party room. The patio is a wonderful place to hang when the weather is fair, almost triples the size of the space. Popped in on a Sunday; half price growler fills! Regulars were very enthusiastic about their weekly growler stop, and were coming up with fun concoctions when blending the beer. I highly recommend a Milk Maid! Lots of merchandise for sale, nice view of the brewery and the canning line.

Great River is a great place to stop in for a beer. My husband and I have been going there since we moved to Davenport about three years ago. The beer is great and the outdoor seating is fun when the weather is nice. It's especially fun to sit at to watch the fireworks going off during the Fourth of July festivities.

What a fun place!Trip Advisor recommended as a destination while in the Quad Cities, and did not steer me wrong. In winter, it is a quaint darkened pub like ambience, but it certainly appears to have the space and set up for a fun summer spot. The bartender (and I sadly do not recall his name) was fun, engaging, and very knowledgable about their brews. My cohort had the Rasberry Wit and I had the Dos Pistolas which was EXACTLY as described and very tasty. It really is a neat niche place that has a warm feel. They also have tours available, but we were not there at the right times....Go and enjoy a brew in one of their really really cool glasses or take a growler or 6 pack (yes a microbrewery that cans!!! YAY) home.
