What more can be said? We had an awesome time celebrating New Year's Eve with the Astraddle A Saddle family. We booked their sleigh ride to dinner in a rustic cabin for our family of 4 and couldn't have been more pleased. The sleigh ride was the perfect length. The rustic cabin was a quaint cabin with lots of character. The food was EXCELLENT! I honestly didn't have that high of expectations for the food but it was delicious and rivaled any prime rib we've eaten at any fine food establishment. Thanks to the Astraddle A Saddle family for a wonderful experience!!! Happy New Year!

You hop on a covered wagon pulled by Clydesdales and head up a short hill to the camp fire site. The food was fabulous and plentiful: brisket, chicken, sausage, beans (which were really a meal in themselves), corn, rolls, salad, apple cobbler...all you can eat and all delicious. After dinner was a campfire and a sing along with a lovely lady who also has the gift of getting the dinners to sing along. Marshmallows are available for roasting. All in all a really fun time and I am so glad we did it. Be forewarned that the only bathroom facility is an outhouse but they were clean and we saw the staff disinfecting them.It gets cold when the sun starts to go down so bundle up!

My family....Mom, Dad, brother and husband did this sleigh ride to the rustic cabin dinner and I have to say it was one of the greatest moments in my life that I will remember forever. The flakes were falling peacefully and the dinner was divine. It was Christmas card perfect.

We were looking to our wagon ride and the BBQ. Except for the food and the singing, we were disappointed. There was no welcome from anyone, just there's the drinks over there and grab a plate and help yourself!!! The gal who gathered us around the fire and lead us in songs was very welcoming and played very well. She added a great touch to the entire evening.

These folks make a fine effort. But in comparison to other sleigh/ride dinners we have been on, most notably last year at Steamboat Springs, this is a far cry. For $50 per head, we got a 10-minute ride in a wheeled trailer (not enough snow for a sleigh), an average dinner of tilapia for my wife and prime rib for me, and then another 10 minute ride back to the car. In comparison, in Steamboat springs we got a 30 minute sleigh ride, a wonderful dinner, and a 30-40 minute music show that was wonderful.Granted, they are doing wonderful things with their effort for the dinner. The dinner cabin has no running water or electricity, and the toilet is a porta-potty. But without any entertainment, it's a bit disappointing.Just make sure you know what you're buying,

We took a 2 hr. trail ride with Gary (the owner) up and around the mountainside. Bring bottled water you will have a saddlebag on one of the horses. 2 hours was about 30min. too long in my opinion, my buttocks agreed with that opinion the next day! So, I recommend an hour ride. No experience is necessary. We will absolutely be back!

Words won't do Mr. & Mrs. Bramwell's ranch justice. Spend a beautiful day exploring the rocky mountains with an excellent guide on horseback. You can choose a one or two hour tour. We did the one hour and I sure wish we had done the two. Spectacular views and inevitable laughs as you spend a great afternoon with your family. After your ride, stick around for the fantastic mountain top campfire-side barbecue prepared specially for The Bramwell's visitors. While we enjoyed our food and the sun began to set, a lovely musician played and sang to her acoustic guitar. Astraddle a Saddle was our FAVORITE day during our Pagosa Springs visit! When I came on to review Astraddle-A-Saddle, I was surprised to see negative feedback. I can only imagine these bad reviews are from people expecting something more commercial. I'm a city girl (Chicago) and the experience the Bramwell's offer was not only exceptional, but filled with great hospitality and fun. If you're looking for quality time with the family and a chance to make fond memories, you've got to try this place.

The 1 hour horseback ride was on a trail cut right into the mountains. Each of member of our party was fitted with a beautiful horse and our guide, Gary, was very friendly and funny. The view was spectacular and would definitely recommend the ride to anyone. We also participated in the horse-drawn wagon and bonfire/BBQ. The food was good and the entertainment is fun and family friendly. Horseshoes and volleyball also available at campfire. Favorite excursion I had during my week vacation to Pagosa Springs.

I have been with two trail ride outfitters in Pagosa Springs and Astraddle A Saddle is the best. The trail ride is pure Colorado- forests and meadows surrounded by majestic mountains. The horses are very calm and the guides safe and knowledgeable. My 8 year old and I have gone with them for the last two years and we love it. We also did the chuck wagon dinner and it's a fun experience- we weren't interested in the sing a long but the kids played volley ball and made new friends while we enjoyed the BBQ.

What a con . $35 for a 5 minute wagon ride to be given cold pre cooked food. Then to sit around a camp fire that wasn't lit and to listen to. A couple of geriatric blue grass singers, it was dire the food was worth $5 on a good day and the entertainment was the worst I have ever seen. They should be closed down for conning tourists , don't waste a night of your life here

3 minute haywain ride. No campfire. Cold food and enforced jollity. Rip off for $35. Totally overpriced and rubbish

Over priced and not a good value. Must be one of Dante's levels that we were with a group that all knew each other and made this an annual trip. We were stuffed in the overheated loft of the cabin for a very mediocre dinner

Never been on a horse at 61 years old but wanted to all my life. Scared to death when I finally got on. Wish that they could have given us a little more coaching before they set us off to relieve some of the anxiety. Was told that it was an easy ride but be warned that this is not all flat riding. There are places where the horses climb at least 45 degree slopes and actually trot down some slopes. Yikes! Trotting for a younger person is fun...for an old fogey like me it is frightening. After about 15 min of riding I finally figured out how to hold on and relaxed some...enough to let go of one hand to get my camera. I had an old horse who was really nice. Sore butt for a couple days after but I have no regrets doing the ride.

Good ride, but you have to duck under tree branches on the very worn trail. Part of the time there is a drop off on one side. The horses kept biting each other's rumps which caused them to stop and kind of kick. Conveniently located near Pagosa Springs.

Fun time with sled ride to cabin and prime rib dinner. Touristy but still fun. Pretty night with amazing stars
