We went to the Coliseum this weekend for perhaps the last time to see the Islanders before they move to Brooklyn. The Coliseum is old and outdated, but for a sporting event or perhaps any other event, the good thing about the Coliseum is there wasn't really a bad seat in the house. No matter what sporting event we went to, we were always able to see the game unobstructed. There wasn't a bad seat in the house. We've seen a lot of great games, had a lot of great times with memories that are priceless. The bad thing about the Coliseum is getting there (traffic, tolls, etc.). There is plenty of parking, but they rip you off ($15), especially now when everyone wants to see the game. To arrive and leave the parking lot you either have to arrive or leave earlier than the crowds to avoid waiting forever to leave. The food isn't great, but I always bring something to eat and drink from outside so I know it is good. All said and done, we are going to miss the coliseum and the good times. We are not going to miss the travel time, the tolls and being ripped off for parking. Next stop Brooklyn and a swipe of a Metrocard.

The Nassau Coliseum has been around along time and has seen a lot of activity. It is definitely time for an update. On a positive note this facility has great access and plenty of parking.

I'm a Devils fan and wanted to make sure I saw a game at Nassau Coliseum before it closed. I'm glad I did!! Although on the older side and less modern, the energy in that building was unlike anything I've felt at any other arena I've been to. It's going to be a shame to see this place go.

The final few games for this building. If you have not done so get in here to experience it before it's too late! The team is good, the fans are great, the viewing experience is second to none.... who cares the place is falling apart and bathroom lines are insane.... you will not forget the experience!!!!! YES YES YES!!!!!

New York Islanders home rink. Outside is a little rough around the edges but the fan base here is out of control. Lots of food to choose from but no major brands like dunkin donuts or Tim Hortons. Plenty to see on concourse a bit small and outdated. In the main bowl there isn't a bad seat in the whole area. Lots of fun and a good time. Very pricey so make sure to bring lots of money especially if your a beer drinker!!

You are warned: Go see the Islanders at home before they move to Brooklyn. You have 2+ more months to see the last New York City Metropolitian area professional team in front of their real fans. In Brooklyn, all the tickets will be sold to Corporate America, and all you'll have watching the games are boring suits who have no care in the world for sports. Buy your Islanders tickets at Nassau Coliseum now before it's too late!!

Got to within a couple of blocks of the parking gate 35 minutes before game time. I got to my seat over an hour later. Lots were not well plowed and nobody guided people parking. Sat in bumper to bumper for 45 minutes, most of that time INSIDE the lot. Now for the arena; food is awful and lines are long but nothing compared to the bathroom lines! The lines for the MEN'S bathroom were 5 times as long as the women's. To sum up; $15 to park, miss 1/6 of the game (bad sight line uncomfortable seat for $130), cheap crappy hot dog and small soda for $14 and couldn't use the bathroom. I know about the move to Brooklyn but no excuse for treating the faithful fans of the first place club this way. Shame on you Islanders management!

As tourists we didn't have many options to make our way out there as we were staying in Manhattan. We could have spent 2 hours catching public transport out there, which we were strongly advised against as we would have been traveling through some pretty rough neighborhoods, so our only option was a taxi/driver which cost us a whopping $105 each way as a lot of taxis won't travel that far. Despite breaking the bank getting there, the actual game was very entertaining (we saw Colorado Avalanche vs New York Islanders), I would love to see another NHL game, but I won't be traveling that far again. The venue itself is a little old and run down, but nothing too terrible.

Decided to take a road trip over the holidays to this place with my daughter. Big letdown!!!Place is old, rundown, antiquated and NOT an NHL venue. I know they're moving next year but, as for the rest of the 2014-15 season do yourself a favor and don't give the current owner another penny! The icing on the cake were the seats we had. The seats in several 300 CENTER ICE sections have an OBSTRUCTED VIEW! How about listing that before people plop down good money, STUBHUB SELLERS!!We say in section 303, Row R and could see only 1/2 the scoreboard due to an overhanging ceiling much like you'd see at a baseball game. Great if you're at a baseball game and it starts raining but not great at a hockey arena!Good sound system, lousy everything else including the $9.75 beer and $7 pretzel braid.

$ 30 to park for a concert. This is price gouging at it's best. There is nowhere else to park , and you are trapped after waiting on line, with your car, to get in.

Went to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra her last night. The show was beyond belief! The performers outdid themselves .The seating is a bit tight.S

I recently won two tickets from a radio station. My daughter and I drove from Huntington to Uniondale to see TSO. We waited in traffic for app. 1 hour. Finally got to the gate and were told 30.00 to park our car!! Who decides the fees for these events??? Between the two of us we didn't have enough cash to park there and they very conveniently had a lane set up to "turn us around and get us out of there!! I have lived on L.I. my ENTIRE life and NEVER have been charged 30.00 to park ANYWHERE!! Shame on the venue!! Who takes ALL that money??? There were (no exaggeration) HUNDREDS of cars filling that lot!!Came home very disappointed. Looked online to see prices from 7-21.00 per event. NEVER 30.00.. and we were NOT the only car exiting the lot before the show!! Really unfair ways...

I've been going to the Coliseum since I was a child for many different big time events. I never realized just how dated (and small) the building and facilities were until I started visiting some other similar venues. Still, it's doing it's function and anywhere you sit you have a pretty good seat. I honestly feel that the seats are even more roomy than some other arenas I've been to. Eat before you go, cause there's honestly nothing worth having for the prices they are charging.

It's obvious the place of my youth is tired and outdated , My TV in the living room might just be bigger than the Jumbo-tron ...lol..lol.. We went to to Islander games over all just a great time

This place is falling apart, the food stinks, the seats stink , the bathroom stinks and i love it. Great venue to watch a game. You can see from everywhere, and it gets loud because of the close quarters. It's a shame they couldn't find a way to renovate and keep it around for the Islanders, etc. NVMC, you will be missed.
