Part of a longer trail to Avalanche lake, we did this along with that hike. Nice easy walk and the water is blue coming down the creek.

This was a nice short trail, it is even wheelchair accessible! This is a very peaceful walk through the ancient trees and ferns. You also get to walk across a bridge that goes over Avalanche Creek. It is beautiful! Avoid this area at lunch time - it is PACKED. We drove around the parking lots several times until someone finally left just to get a spot to park.

This is a great little mile trail which is right by Avalanche creek. We ate a picnic lunch, then just enjoyed the easy stroll.

Of all of the scenery we saw in Glacier, this was special. Being older, we were not able to take a lot of the hiking trail in the park, but we could do this one and we enjoyed the beautiful trees very much.

This is trail is completely paved or over an elevated boardwalk. So it level and easy walked with minimum effort for those who have limited walking ability. The trails winds through some beautiful huge Western Red Cedar and Western Hemlock. There is a little stream, and if you happened to be in the park during the warmer summer season, the trail is completely shades and protected from the sun. Lots of moss and ferns on the ground to admire also. Parking can be hard to come by in the summer or on spring or fall weekends so arrive well before noon. Well worth the stop.

This is not a hiking trail but it is a pleasant short walk on either paved or boardwalk surfaces. The path crosses over a bridge where a river tumbles through a gorge. The highlight for my daughter was the haiku passages posted along the boardwalk section of the path.

A short boardwalk passes massive red cedar and western hemlock on the way to a beautiful gorge---a narrow canyon cut into red sculpted rock with turquoise pools and swirling water.

Very nice leisurely hike thru the woods. Would recommend to everyone. Nothing strenuous anyone could do this.

A great walk for those that want to be in a beautiful cedar forest with a brook running through it. Wheel chair accessible, well maintained trails. If you want to continue on, you can go to Avalanche Lake which i a more strenuous hike but well worth it.

This is a great walk for everyone. Don't discount this even if you are a serious hiker. Just because this is short and easy (and it is) don't assume that it isn't worth your time. This is like stepping into an ancient world. It is a nice first attempt to slow down, relax and immerse yourself into the magic of Glacier. Take the time to soak it all in. Boardwalk all the way - no incline - quiet- peaceful -wonderful. While we did much longer and more challenging hikes, this was one of our favorites.

This is a nice little walk on your way to the more strenuous hike to Avalanche Lake. It is wheelchair accessible which makes it a great option for those who cannot do the strenuous hiking.

This short boardwalk hike is for everyone. It's good to get out of the car, stretch your legs, or even your wheelchair. We loved the relative quiet ( it is a popular hike), the clear water, and the humid air. I wouldn't miss it, especially if it's hot.

A very easy trail on a boardwalk through one of the most lush forests ever. Every shade of green there is, and a beautiful waterfall as well.

This is just a short, .7 mile trail mostly on a boardwalk. Trailhead is near the Avalanche picnic area. The trees are wonderful. Certainly worth doing.

The vegetation types were well marked, very informative. Convenient restroom along the trail. Short but wonderful, along a creek.
