A must visit beach area. A cuc for parking gets you into the beach area with bar and restaurant. Some lounge chairs are available for 2 cuc. Crystal clear water and snorkeling is also a good pastime.

The title pretty well says it all. The beach is nice ( fine sand) There are cabanas for use and people were snorkelling. I don't know how good the snorkelling is though. There is a small restaurant by the parking lot. A good spot to stop for a break and catch a few rays

I spent a pleasant afternoon at this modest beach strip, which is located about 20 kilometers south of town, on the coast, between two large hotels. The sand is nice, but perhaps not of the ultra-fine luxurious quality. The location is protected, so the surf does not come crashing in too heavily. There are a number of amenities, such as beach side bar, washroom and places where you can get something to eat, all slightly run down, but with their own charm. The close proximity to town enabled me to get to and from in a taxi, quickly, at reasonable price. Coming out here need not involve the whole day.

This isn't your dream Caribbean beach but it is a Caribbean beach so you can't really complain. It's slightly scruffy and the sea is a bit murky but if swimming isn't your thing there are some pleasant little beach bars and a strip of unspoilt beach with very clear, very shallow water for looking at the wildlife. I (female) did get asked if I wanted to buy sex with a graphic display of what I would be getting but apart from that....

Quiet little beach with few restaurants. Ocean was not as nice as in Varadaro but nice enough to spend a few hours. There are not beach chairs, so bring a beach towel.

I didn't dare swim in the ocean ... rocky beaches, sea urchins everywhere, seaweed ... The beach is not even 1km long so don't expect to take long endless walks.

a lovely little beach usually very quiet. Its a short walk from Rancho Luna hotel and a nice way to get some fitness and then cool off with a swim. It has a beach bar where you can get ice cold cervesas. It is what I picture when I close my eyes and visualize a beach. Ahhhhhh

Went in November and it was quiet. Was with my girlfriend and there was a group of 20 something year old lads who were playing drinking games and they kept walking past out stuff when we were in the sea. prob me freaking out but i found it hard to relax. Okay beach to kill a few hours

The beach is located ca. 10 kms from Cienfuegos. It is the closest beach to the city. You can reach by taxi, we paid 5 CUC for one way. Shadow, sunbeds (2CUC) and bars available. There are better beaches in Cuba, but it is a good place to relax.

not big but cosy - stay in Saltemar or smth like that, on the hill, just beside the sea. Extremely nice hostess.

we were there on a weekend. the beach was crowded with families and screaming kids. It's not beautiful, has a lot of seaweed and the food was poor (a common thing in Cuba). Still, we found a spot to lay down and doze - that was good.Cuba has MUCH better beaches to offer. Don't waste your time going there.

the public beach was large with clean sand , many places to sit and enjoy a cerveza . The resort end of the beach was a disaster and tourists need shoes to walk on it and the public beach was much safer for tourists .

I spent the day at a hotel with my boyfriend's family. They had a lot of attractions, a nice pool, kayak and water bikes included. However, the food was horrible.

Not a patch on the northern coast beaches but nice sand, warm water, various food stalls (moneda nacional) and bars (CUC) and good for a day out if in Cienfuegos. 5 mins from Delfinario

Visit at the weekend and mingle with the Cubans, make sure you have the local Pesos to buy food and drink, Cuc's are no good, or you will pay far too much. we ate and drank like kings for the day for under £2! The Cubans start drinking their rum very early and carry on all day, when it becomes too hot they stand in the sea and drinks it, we had a lovely day amongst them all.
