Jo was so patient and kind as she taught me how to make glass beads, including hearts! I could have spent many more hours in her studio not only admiring her work but simply watching and talking with her and her adorable pups!

I took the half day bead class with 2 friends and we wish we had taken the full day. It was so much fun! At first it may seem intimidating, but Jo quickly puts you at ease and makes you feel like your creations are unique and beautiful. She is a great, interesting teacher. We laughed a lot and made several beads each. The beads make great souvenirs for you and others, and are great conversation pieces, especially when you've made them yourself. We all left wanting to buy our own torches! Needless to say, the pieces that Jo has for sale are gorgeous. This is a unique experience that you will thoroughly enjoy!

We took the class with Jobean and it was totally worth it. Really fun learning how to make the glass beads, and also just talking with Jobean. She is a fun character. She taught us how to make beads and then do a little techniques with them. We made necklaces and keychains. The price in most of the places I saw said $85 for the class, but it is actually $95 per person. She let's you stay as long as you like. We spent about 3 1/2 hours there and had a blast.

My mom & I went to Saba via Edge Ferry from St Maarten. My mom did the lunch & tour package. I dove with Sea Saba. But my mom states that Jo Bean glass has interesting items to sell including glass fixtures/ statues as well as glass jewelry. Also, there is a full day or half day class that you can partake in. Would recommend a visit to Jo Bean Glass when you are in Saba.

One of my biggest regrets was waiting til my last day on Saba to visit Jo Bean's Glass Studio. The studio is a little piece of heaven riddled with lots of intricately crafted designs ranging from conventional beads to frogs, turtles and even mermaids. Jo Bean is a fantastic little lady, inviting you into her whimsical world where with a little fire...you can transform glass into gorgeous individual works of art. Jo Bean is friendly and welcoming and her passion for her work is obvious! She is a great teacher and its quite an experience to see her at work and within minutes she has YOU creating your own little works of art, which you get to keep as a souvenir! Despite all the diving and hiking I originally came to Saba for, my time at Jo Bean's Glass Studio was the most fun, and I can't wait to return! Jo Bean: both you and your artwork are beautiful treasures!

a must stop on a trip to Saba. There is a shop in the town of Windward side but up to Booby Hill and you will actually get to see the beads being made…artists at work and a much bigger selection od beads and objects made from glass. Beautifully made works of art. You can also pick up some replica Slave beads…theirs are used in many of the surrounding museums. Beautiful work.

You do not want to miss this: visit Jo Bean Glass studio at Saba.Jo gave us a warm welcome and showed us how the jewelry is made. Very nice to see how she works and created unique glass pieces in whatever shape you like.Take you unique souvenir. The studio is a 10 minute walk from Windwardside. (they also have a small shop in the village). The studio is much bigger, and gives you more to choose from.

Two of us recently took Jo Beans class, loved it and came away realizing we did have some creative skills!! Jo is a quick teacher, who forces students to jump right in and get behind the flame. I will absolutely wear the beads I made in my 'real life' and have already been getting compliments on them! Her warmth, personality and positive energy made it a great experience!

A trip to Saba is never complete without visiting Jo Bean's glass shop. Jo Bean is a lot of fun to talk with and we can never leave without buying gifts for everyone back home. We can't wait to viait again in a few months!!

I have been going to Jo Bean's glass studio for over 5 years now. I first went into her store to purchase a gift for my future wife when I was in Saba and purchase some replica Statia slave beads since I had been in Statia earlier in the week. She makes one of a kind glass ornaments, beads, jewelry, etc. I was amazed at the level of detail and variety of stuff that she makes. The beauty and uniqueness of these glass pieces is astonishing. Many of the pieces are aquatic themed as Jo Bean is an avid scuba diver. She also carries a variety of jewelry made from custom glass beads. On a subsequent trip, my wife and I both took a glass bead making class with the Amazing Jo Bean. This was the first time we had the opportunity to meet her, and we quickly became friends. When we decided to get married on Saba, we had Jo Bean make us glass ceremony rings as well as the glass cake toppers for our wedding cake. Our cake topper was a one of kind piece. Many people say there is nothing to do on Saba but dive and drink, but I beg to differ. Jo Bean glass should be on your plans whether you are a day tripper or a diver visiting Saba. If you have the time, I highly recommend taking a class.
