Got a totally unexpected Christmas gift from one of my daughters....a beginner's session of handguns at Silverdale!Went down on a chilly January morning but had a nice warm reception by the registration staff and Dave, our instructor. Good quick, but serious, instruction on gun safety which was not condescending but treated us if we were adults.Minimal instruction (...we were so good????Kidding!) but Dave was there at our shoulders to offer pointers and encouragement which made the time that much more rewarding.I / we would LUVVVV to come back when IT IS WARMER!!!! To improve enjoyment ...and ACCURACY....I couldn't keep my sights cuz my hands were cold and shaking so much !!!

We went as a group as none of us had fired a gun before, got a great deal on GroupOn and its come up a few times since so keep an eye out (45$ instead of 90$) and if you have never been to a range before, I recommend you get two groupons, one each for hand gun and rifles. . An experienced instructor walked us through each weapon giving individual tips to improve our aim as we took our turns. The whole group really enjoyed the experience. My only complaint was that it is (for good reason) off the beaten path so to speak.

I absolutely love my shooting range amazing people family oriented amazing land great facility. Their safety and courses are optimal. Always open even if the gates closed via an activation card. You can shoot anything that you can roll in or walk in. Long-range short range, action range. Archery, handguns rifles shotguns... Heck even a cannon here and there. Thank you for all your efforts and I'm looking forward to being your customer for many years to come

I usually bring my firearms to shoot here a few times a month. They're a huge range with a variety of range areas for trap shooting, cowboy action, pistols, and rifles anywhere from 25 - 200 yrds. Memberships are a decent price ($300/year) and way more affordable than the clubs located in and around the city without a waiting list. It does have its limitations though as it is an outdoor range. Depending on weather and time of day, it could effect your shooting experience. Bring some boots if it's raining or wet. The amount of mud you track back from changing a target would make you think you were in the trenches. MOST of the range officers are nice. A few of them suffer from attitude problems. God help you if you ask to finish shooting your last magazine at closing time. A couple of them think its professional and acceptable to verbally abuse some of their patrons and members because you're not packing up to leave fast enough or if you weren't holding a gun properly. I would understand them getting upset over safety issues, but referring to patrons as "@$$holes who take their sweet f***ing time packing up to leave" because another range officer failed to "tell them to get the f*** out of there so he can go home" doesn't fly with me. I'm astounded that this place passes as family friendly. In all, a good place to shoot, but I would definitely not bring my younger siblings here given the things I've heard them say to some of their patrons. Seriously, some of the staff need to work on their behaviour and conduct. Happy shooting, guys.

Recently went here after finding a deal on groupon. My husband's been wanting us to try but I am nervous when it comes to these things so I wasn't looking forward to it. After coming here I can't wait to try again! Knowledgeable, very safety conscious, friendly, encouraging instructor. The whole experience was very comforting so now my husband and I will probably get our licenses and join.

I brought my husband as a birthday gift & boy was it an experience, front end staff excellent, clerk in gun store excellent, Sarah our instructor was double excellent & so knowledgable. Will be going back for sure. The souvenir from 50 caliber so great. Thanks Silverdale for such a wonderful experience!!!!

A few friends and I bought the Silverdale packaged deal and made our way to the range one weekend. We got to shoot a variety of firearms from a 22 to a monster 50 caliber rifle! WOW! It was a roller coaster of mixed emotions from being nervous and a bit scared to elation and adrenaline rush high.The range officers were very friendly and made us feel at ease. They knew their stuff and ensured that everything was safe. The only negatives is lack of proper washroom facilities and nowhere to wash your hands after shooting. They have a friendly woman selling homemade burgers and pop.

From the time you get there until you leave the staff gives you a most welcome feeling. We did the riffle package which included a shot from the 50 cal. I cannot tell you how the compression you feel from just being a spectator.They are very organized and knowledgable staff I give them two thumbs up for sure. I recommend giving it a try they have different packages available.

My girlfriend bought me a Groupon for a rifle-shooting package, which we had to book months in advance in order to take advantage of it on a busy Saturday. It might be easier to book during the week. The range officer was very helpful and informative. We had a great time! Make sure to wear hearing and eye protection. We brought our own, but they did have disposables there for people to use. After shooting we made a day of it and toured around the Niagara region to do wine tasting, eat cheese, and pickup farm-fresh produce.

We used a TeamBuy coupon for an afternoon at the gun range shooting at paper and it was a great time! The gun club is a bit of a trip - and it isn't anything to look at - but our range officer and all the staff were very friendly and the event was exciting and entertaining. There were 4 couples in the group that we were part of and it took a little about an hour and a half for the session.Safety is always first - but you have the chance to shoot live ammunition and feel the power in 3 different types of guns. Cost for extra ammunition is reasonable and they can customize your session for your level of experience.

I was looking for something for my husband and I to have fun together and BondI got a great deal on Groupon and we reserved and went this morningIt was a little tricky to find and GPS had us in a dead end, but we called the office and found our waySince it was a hot day, I brought water and handy wipes. Good thing, there are portapotties, but nothing to clean your handsDown to business. Dan our instructor was fun, polite and knowledgable. I was not there to kill anything or anyone. I just wanted to learn about firing a weapon in a safe environment It was fun, safe, and we will go back again.I also learned from the staff that they have a pheasant breeding program, and have released over a 100 birds this year, with more to come. AND they have signs not to shoot the birds, just the targetsThe club has a picnic area with a pond and snack bar

This was a fun way to spend an hour or so. Got to try out about 4 different kinds of guns. The kick back from some of the guns....crazy! Would like to try the skeet shooting on site.

Yes, Silverdale Gun Club is rather far on its own. But if you tack on a day at the casino after it isn't that bad. I went with my two brothers and it was a great bonding experience. We all bought the starter handgun package off of teambuy. The hand guns were fun and exciting. But to top it off, we paid an extra $15 to fire a round from the 50 cal sniper rifle. That experience I will never forget. The force, the sound, the feel of it I can not easily express in words. The cool part is you get to keep the 50 cal shell at the end. It was a nice day for grown adults to feel like kids again. My only complaint is that it was winter and it was freezing but that is hardly the fault of the gun club. So next time I go, it will be summer and I will try rifles. Once on the 50 cal is enough for me.

We took advantage of a deal that was available online. Our two teenage boys took the handgun and rifle intro packages. I highly recommend taking the courses here as the staff was polite and professional. Ask for don as he was our instructor and was very patient and answered all of our questions. The boys are wanting to return and take advantage of other ranges and firearms .
