This museum is a treasure. It's not easy to find if you haven't been there before, but directions are getting easier in Bogota for visitors. It's near the Palace, and entrance is on a pedestrian street. Lovely, old church and you get an awesome postcard with your entrance fee ($3,000COP - about $1.50 USD)

The church is lovely, the art is amazing... they have computer screens with English and Spanish that explain what things are and read you stories and have interactive exploring screens so you can see the parts like the tombs and attic that are closed. Definitely worth a stop.

You can visit this place close to Palacio Narino and catch a glance of some of the most stunning religious paintings in the country

Small museum packed with art. The audio boards being told from a nuns perspective was clever and fun. We spent 45 minutes and it was a good stop.

I've seen my share of colonial art museums, and this one rates at the very top. This museum is close to the presidential palace; you must pass some guards, but they just check your bag and let you through. I especially liked the exhibit of the portraits of the nuns after their deaths.

This museum is so beautiful. Excellent interactive explanations of all the icons. So glad we took the time to go.

The entry fee is not large and it is totally free on sundays. This church is noted for the ceiling design. There are also art exhibits here and nice religious carvings. Good to see if you have time but not a must visit.

Albeit quite small, this museum was a blast to go through. Nearly every piece has a description associated with it and there are great English translations throughout. This museum can be covered in less than an hour, but if you're like me and you really enjoy religious history, you can easily spend several hours here.

This has Great history and artifacts, in an old church, lots of stuff from Colombia and Peru. so many Spanish style religious paintings, a great place to see and visit, free some Sundays too.

Religious art isn't my thing but what I could see through the door looked so interesting I paid the meager fee to enter. It is not a large exhibit area but the vibe is very medieval and serious. It's a rather odd feel for Bogota except that it seems a very eclectic town with a vaguely colonial exterior.I am glad I stopped in.

Check ahead to make sure its open. I went in January 2014 and then again in February. Keep your head down and follow the tunnel behind the walls for a unique view of the confessionals. Check out the portraits of all of the deceased Mothers Superior.

The unassuming exterior belies what's inside. Most of Bogota's churches disappoint once you're inside, but this is an exception. This beautifully restored interior is now complimented by temporary contemporary exhibits that usually reflect the life and location of the former convent. It can be a fascinating juxtaposition. The large permanent collection of portraits of the dead nuns is fascinating!

A large church that impresses with it's clean lines and solid columns. Alcoves to various saints were interesting. There was a well thought out nativity scene behind the alter depicting more than just your standard manger.

Nice old church in the main square. A bit dark inside, but very peacful and quiet. No fee to enter, so we walked in and enjoy a little quiet time.
