I visited the centre and asked them where is the Liechtenstein centre.. And the lady was like.. This is Liechtenstein centre.. So boom start and end of Liechtenstein and Vaduz.. That was all in the country.. But did I like it off course as I added another country in my kitty :)

It is a beautiful Town and worth the short trip from our vacation in Italy and Switzerland going back to Germany. Good to visit especially if you are collecting/listing places to visit, as it is only small and is interesting to know that it is one of the wealthiest Country in Europe.

It's a beautiful town for ski. Very quiet, people are nice. Food price is good. I bought a Evian at SF0.8 with my CAD credit card, in my online banking, I found it charged me $0.95,which is better than I spend in France with credit card.

There is usually not much to a visitor's center but it was very neat to get a Leichtenstein passport stamp! Who has that!?! They also gave us an great little map highlighting the pedestrian zone, what all the buildings were and where to go for various museums. Really helpful! Note: if you just put Vaduz in your GPS, it brings you HERE! = )

The centre is modern and has lots of brochures with information. The young lady at the desk was cheerful and spoke perfect English. She provided a map with directions to all the open attractions. Would have been great except she recommended a restaurant that was pretty expensive. The cheese spaetzle (think fancy macaroni and cheese if you have not had it) we $25. Maybe we looked like we had a lot of money, but I would think you would warn someone before you send them to a restaurant where it is a minimum of $20 per person. I know it is expensive in Liechtenstein, but we had the same meal for $10 less per person in a ski resort in Austria where it is also expensive.

...helped me make the best of my day in the country. But that wasn't all that hard because I was there the week between summer and winter seasons and almost everything was closed. But I wanted to accomplish two things: go see the town of Marbun and do an hour or two walk in the forest. The woman at the tourist desk was more than accommodating and provided all the info needed to do both and have fun doing them. They also have this "famous" stamp for one's passport to prove having been in Liechtenstein. But at 3 Euros (IIR), not worth it even though that's the cheapest thing in the city.

We visited Leichtenstein specifically to add one more country to our travel list. We visited Vaduz, the capital of Leichtenstein, and its second largest city. (Schaan at 6,000 population is the largest). Leichtenstein has the highest GNP per person in the world, but you wouldn't know that from walking around Vaduz. The city was pretty much like any other commercial city in the world, lots of offices, stores and restaurants. And being a tourist city, there were also a lot of tourists and gift shops. Our main curiosity of the city was the Vaduz Castle, situated high above the city on a cliff overlooking the region. It was built in the 1700's and then renovated and rebuilt in the early 1900's. The Prince of Leichtenstein now resides in the castle so it is closed to the public. But we had a nice drive up to the castle with beautiful views of the city and surrounding region. Otherwise, onward and upward to Switzerland. And we earned ourselves one more country for our list!

The lady on the desk was far from welcoming or cheerful. I wanted my passport stamped and it seemed too much trouble and she didn't stamp it in the place I asked her too. I wanted to ask her where the path to the castle started from but she was too involved on her computer and gave me a quick confusiing answer that I did not really understand.Shet did not make me feel welcome at all. I got more information from the nice lady in the Postage Stamp museum.

Vaduz is small and pretty charmless and I don't recommend wasting time visiting it, unless you need ( like me!) to say you have been there. It is like a 70 s suburb of any small European town and considering this is the richest country in Europe no one has spent any money beautifying it. The royal family have a stunning art collection, but they don't show it here. Instead there is a hideous modern art gallery displaying incomprehensible junk and the main square is full of bemused Chinese tourists wandering around and wondering why they are there. The post cards show the castle, but we mere plebs can't visit it and have to be satisfied with an unusual stamp. There is a lot more to neighboring Austria and Switzerland to waste much time here, unless stamps excit you.

Liechtenstein is the sixth-smallest independent nation in the world by land area. Vaduz is the Capital.

the point that can you have the start of Vaduz walking....Don't forget to take a tourist visa stamp to your passport from the Post office in Center. But the stuff is very slow and not very kind...i think a little tired from all the visitors...

There is not much to do in the city, so you can imagine how much this center can provide information about. This is a noce cozy place where you get a map of the city highlighting the different attractions and for people who want to keep a souvenier of visting this smallest country in Europe, you can get your passport stamped with their official stamp (akthough there is a charge of 2.5 CHF for getting that stamp)

My wife and I spent a day in Vaduz and stopped here first. The place is clean and the staff helpful. Many useful brochures and lots of interesting information for the tourist. Also, air conditioned - so a place to escape the heat for a few minutes on a hot day. Liechtenstein stamps, post cards, and other tourist-related souvenirs are on sale here at competitive prices.Well done!

As every tourist information center, this is a good place to start your visit to another city. Liechtenstein is rather tiny, so do not expect too much though.
