We took our 7 year old to celebrate his birthday this year. We went in the middle of the week so there wasn't too many people there like I had been warned about on the weekends. We walked up to the ticket booth and paid for my husband, mine, and our oldest child's tickets...children under the age of 6 are free. After that struggle with the language barrier we had to attempt to buy a refreshment card. They don't have prices so I had to guess on how much to put on our card. If that wasn't frustrating enough I saw where if you ran out of money on your card I would have to walk all the way back up to the main gate and put more money on the card.As we started walking in the park we passed a large fountain full of weeds and old water. We passed a couple of water slides that have obviously been broken for a while by the way they looked. Once over the bridge of the lazy river we made our way over to the wave machine and kid area. I was pleased to see the kid area had a large slide and a small circle slide along with a large wading pool area that connects to the wave machine. I was able to stand under some umbrellas in the seating area that separates the kid area to the wave machine pool.Once the alarm rang for the wave machine you still had to wait several minutes for the waves. Once they started a life guard stood on the edge and sprayed water from a full power firefighter's hose at the crowd...freezing cold water too!!! I stood there in amazement that this was actually happening! I watched as my 7 year old attempted to dodge getting sprayed with the hose...kind of frightening...but hey...it's Turkey that shouldn't surprise me. The waves only lasted a few short minutes it seemed.Next up, the water slides. We wend down two slides, but I think there was another one working. 3 slides for the whole water park!!! As you stand in line it's a free for all to go down too. Wait...there are no lines..you just walk up and go down when you want to as the lifeguards watch you. But once you get to go you can grab as many people to down at once. My son loved that we could all race each other down the large slide at once.Last thrill...the lazy river. Imagine my surprise as I got in and never moved since I was going the wrong way! I assumed the river flowed clockwise like all of the other water park lazy rivers that I have been to. I was wrong....it goes counter clockwise. Now I know.I would give this place a 1 star because I have been and seen a lot better places. But, my son had a blast so I am happy that he is happy. =)I came, I saw, I rode the rides, and now I will not return. =)
