Found this spot while geocaching in the area. Really interesting place, and the volunteers are informed and helpful. Places like this need to be maintained. Take some time and look around. Great spot to inform kids and grandkids about the past.

We enjoyed our self guided tour though this museum. The volunteers are friendly. I especially like the quilt museum in the out building. Clean, good prices and friendly volunteers.

See Benson's past. This quaint little museum will take you back into the history of Benson, Arizona. It is located in a 1920's mercantile building just one block off the main drag. You will find varied displays of life in this railroad town including the old horse drawn school bus. Worth the time to stop in while traveling through Benson.Also, behind the museum building is the Quilting society building with quilts and handmade items for sale.

Little Gem in Benson....The museum is located in a historic 1920's building that used to house the W.D. Martinez General Merchandise Store. The permanent displays provide an opportunity to step into an old time general store and make a trip to an optometrist's office. Other displays highlight home life, health and work. The Benson area is known for its connection to the railroads and to mining. The museum also houses the refurbished early 1914 Benson School bus. Behind the museum is the Art & Quilting Gallery, a must for all those interested in the hand-made pieces from local artisans. Museum Hours October - April Tuesday-Friday 10-4, Saturday - 10-2. May - September Tuesday - Saturday 10-2. Closed all of August.
