Being a photographer, I always scour the Internet of places to visit on vacation. When I found Cannon Beach, I knew I had to visit this part of the east coast. It didn't disappoint any time of day we went. Early morning was my favorite when it was not fogging because of hardly any people around. (Good for picture taking) the sunset was amazing but a lot of people there this time of day. Don't forget to look for starfish on the rocks near Haystack

Rain, Shine or Storm the beach is the best part of the visit for our family. Great walk and at low tide there are wonderful tidal pools. Kite flying is great, you can have a beach fire and the ocean views outstanding. Pack rubber boots and a good Wind Jacket. Handy walk from the beach to town sites and facilities as well.

We stayed at the Hallmark Resort and walked the beach every day during our stay. The views are stunning and the atmosphere of the area and the beach is fantastic. It ranks up there with Long Beach on Vancouver Island in BC. It is hard-packed sand that makes it easy to walk on.

It's about an hour or so outside of Portland. The drive is through gorgeous mountain roads. The town is a quaint little tourist village with shops and restaurants a plenty.

I loved the beautiful ocean views.we were able to visit Seaside and Astoria.. I wish I would have had more time to visit other places like Roloff Farms

The sound of the waves rolling into shore, the brilliant sunsets, the calm and inviting little town boasting with wonderful people...simply amazing!

In all the Oregon coast and all the haystack rocks, this is the "ONE." Come at low tide and walk out to it unlike the others. Come enjoy ruby sunsets and white beaches. Bring a bottle of wine and a loved one. This is the best of Oregon Beaches.

Spent the week-end and hit unprecedented warm weather for March - awesome. The beach town is not over developed and is a great destination for those that want to spend time at the beach. We prefer Cannon Beach to Seaside, because it appears less commercialized. On our visit we experienced mostly families and a lot of dogs on the beach - great people watching.

We spent hours just walking and enjoying the view and quirky shops along side local shops but it all fitted well together

We could not have picked a better weekend to visit Cannon Beach, clear blue skies, moderate temperatures, very little wind. Walking on the beach is a real pleasure. The backdrop of the coast mountains, and Haystack Rock and the tide-pools. This is among the most beautiful places in the Pacific Northwest. There were lots of photographers on the beach with their cameras on tripods trying to get the perfect sunset picture.

One of my favorite beaches in the world. Breathtaking. Perfect for walking and relaxing. The kids love the ocean in the summer, but the water is definitely cold.

Loved the big loud waves crashing and the long beach to walk each day. The views are spectacular of Haystack Rock. It was a great place to just get outside and go on an adventure - and each day offered something new & different as the lighting with the sunrise/sunset would be completely different than the prior.

Cannon Beach is a must stop on any trip down the Oregon Coast. It is a walking town full of shops and restaurants, from pizza to full service. Then just a couple of blocks to the beach to experience the ocean and Haystack Rock. Don't just drive by on the Highway, drop down into Cannon Beach and stay awhile.

We made a day trip out to cannon beach from Portland and it was worth the drive. It was so beautiful! It was November so it was cold but still totally worth it. I would go back in a heartbeat, such beautiful views and fresh crisp salty air. Enjoy it! :)
