If you are visiting the Seabrook Island area don't miss out on a kayak tour through St. John's kayaks. Mike and his staff offer daily tours down Bohicket Creek. You will meander through tidal Creeks and marsh area along Bohicket Creek. You will experience all the wildlife of the Lowcountry in a peaceful tranquil setting. The staff at St. John's will provide all the equipment and training making this a great adventure for people of any skill level. For the more advanced adventurer st johns will offer kayak rentals. We were treated to a family of dolphins swim right up to our kayaks and traveled with us for a while. It was a magical adventure. I can't wait to go back out on the water again

My family and I took a tour of the Bohicket creek at low tide and had the most amazing experience. First, our tour guide Jacob was fantastic! It was obvious he's a father by the time and attention he gave my children and his patience as my children lobbed question after question at him. Bravo Jacob! We learned all about the oysters, small crabs on the bank (the males wave a big claw to attract the females, it's quite amusing), watched skates feed on the bank, watched in awe as the graceful and beautiful egrets and herons took flight. It was also a great workout. To top everything off we were escorted through most of the trip by dolphins playing along side our kayaks. I want to go back every year!Thank you St. Johns Kayaks for a wonderful experience and great memories.

...we saw minks, stingrays, shrimp, birds, and dolphins! Nice, relaxing, informative tour; our tour guide, Amber, was most knowledgeable. This excursion is worth every penny, gauranteed to lower your blood pressure for a while!

We arose early to catch the low morning tide as our guide said we'd see a lot more at low tide. Our guide, John, was very knowledgeable and well educated and we went across Bohicket Creek into the marshy areas. Many birds were feeding on the exposed banks and John knew the names, songs, and habits of each one. He explained the ecosystem and what to watch for. We were fascinated. As we made our way back towards the main channel we came upon a school of red drum (fish) feeding in the low water. Shrimps were jumping out of the water all around us! And 2 bottle nose dolphin, each about 350 pounds were feeding just ahead of us. We watched them feed, herding the fish into the shallows then feeding in a frenzy! We paddled back into the main channel and continued to watch many dolphin in the main channel. I suggest you do as we did and go at low tide, even if it's not totally convenient to your schedule, you will see lots more than at high tide. The location was easy to find, right outside the traffic circle at Fresh Fields/Kiawah/Seabrook. This adventure would be fun with kids over about 8 years old. You do not need any kayak experience. The prices are fair and the quality of the equipment and the knowledge and professionalism of the guides is fantastic. They also have motorized boats if you want to take a tour in those.
