We have never been on casino boat, that actually went out to sea. You do have to pay $25 a head to board....It all started great...until we had the buffet, the vegetables were literally mush, their prime rib was actually pot roast, it was just all bad. No one mentioned you had to wait an hour to get out far enough to gamble. Though, the sea was not rough and I did take something for motion sickness....it was awful, I thought I was going to die. I mainly played the slots and did fairly well. One hour before you return to port, you are no longer allowed to gamble and since we went on the evening cruise, we were herded to the 2nd and 3rd floors so, they could clean. However, the 3rd floor is not heated and had live music with limited seating. The 2nd floor was where the buffet was and seating only was for dinners. So many people had to stand in the little alleyways, you were not allowed to sit on the floor or linger in the hallways. There were so many people, many elderly crowding together with no place to sit for the hour trip back. I understand everyone wanting to clean so, they can go home, but what they did was dangerous and just not cool. Even if we would have won a butt load of money we would not go back ever! If you need a gambling fix and don't mind the other stuff, it's a a place you can go play for awhile.

Hello fellow travelers, Recently I ventured out and got on The Big "M" casino boat in Little river, Sc. This is a great experience for the folks passing through and looking for Lady Luck. First of all, Parking, If you go on the evening cruise, there will not be anywhere to park until the A.M cruise people get off the boat. It is better to have printed off the registration form for new members. Leave all pocket knives and finger nail files in the car, they check purses and scan. On the boat, there is no where to sit and lounge and chat except the 3rd floor while the gambling is going on. It is not sealed like the rest of the boat, so if it is a cold night, bring a blanket. There is a lot of just standing around during the first 45 minutes of the ride due to it not being legal to gamble until in certain waters, so grab a seat quickly and remain there until time to gamble or you will holding up a wall. I consider this casino boat strictly for true gamblers, this is not a weekend warrior spot. I waited on a spot at the craps table and never got it. But I will say it is a must do once kind of thing. If you are not a smoker as I am not, you are going to have some issues, the 3rd floor deck offers some fresh air and wonderful view, to bad it was freezing cold that night. $25.00 a person, $18.00 dinner buffet form 6:30 to 8 and $10.00 breakfast buffet from 10:00 to midnight. That's right, from 8 to 10 it's the bar on the 3rd floor hot dogs and chips to purchase while the sick are up there trying to get fresh air eating crackers and drinking ginger ale, LMAO too funny. Please, take this trip!!! I recommend this when it warms up.

Food: Definitely eat first. The buffet was ridiculously overcooked and had little to offer. They have something they call Prime Rib, which is a pretty decent Pot Roast, but NOT a Prime Rib. The cooked vegetables were beyond mush. We had really looked forward to the buffet, just to find this was a complete le down.Completion: I wish I'd seen some reviews. The last 45 minutes destroyed any positivity we got from the entire trip. They literally close off the entire first floor and 80% of the second floor. The third floor, in February, was FREEZING. Unless you want to pay for the terrible buffet at the midnight meal, you can't sit in the restaurant. This leaves a TINY portion of the boat with not enough chairs. SO, there were at least 20 of us left standing. I sat on the stairs and they said that's a safety violation (Like crowding us into the litle hall was safe). I sat on the floor and the security guy LITERALLY came and said I cannot sit on the floor. WHAT??? REALLY???? So, my options are a) Pay for a terrible buffet so I can sit in the restaurant, b) Sit on the third floor with the loud live "band" and freeze, or c) STAND FOR THE LAST 45 MINUTES OF THE CRUISE. The security goon that told me I can't sit on the floor, by the way, said I have to sit. I told him I would love to, but there's no seats and no space. He said "I'll get you a chair." True to his word, he got ONE chair and told me to sit. I (a mid 40s male) told him I can't sit with at least a dozen elderly women standing all around me and not wanting to complain. He literally said "Suit yourself, don't sit on the floor." APPALLING treatment of customers. Gaming: Not bad. Slots not loose, but not the worst I've seen. The only thing is, once the gambling is done, THE HONEYMOON IS OVER PEOPLE, don't expect to feel valued as a customer ANY LONGER.Ill NEVER be back, and I LIVE in South Carolina.

We were very excited to go on this, since we are from NJ and live very close to Atlantic City we were hoping for something a little different then what we got.. The slot machines that were less then $1.00 never hit for more then 50cents at a time, if at all. The boat was filled with smoke, even in the non smoking areas, the buffet, (if you want to call it that) was a joke.. I've had better food at Golden Corral... Won't go back again, if your a non smoker, do NOT go on this. I had to wash our clothes twice to get the smell out..

Not being much of a gambler my wife and I wanted to see the Intra Coastal and do something different. So we decided the only way we could do it on a boat and walk around was by going out one day when the weather was nice on the gambling boat. We did have an enjoyable breakfast and played some slots for a while but having to walk past the smoking deck was not too pleasant. After we lost all the money we wanted to gamble there wasn't much else to do let's sit at the top deck and gradually watch those who lost their money also appear. In addition there were those who couldn't even take a little rock and roll on the war so their hands were bend over on tables and I'm sure their minds were praying that that the trip would soon end. I would say that despite those conditions I would definitely go again on a nice day. The view is beautiful the staff is friendly and the people seemed nice enough even after driving thear wad.

We had a nice time on the boat. Food was very good. I had a piece of prime rib that was quite possibly the best I ever had. We got a seat at a blackjack table and played for the entire duration of the trip. We had a fun dealer and a fun group at the table and had a super nice time. Then when gambling has to stop when we were closer to land, they close a large portion of the boat down and there are limited places to sit and you just have to wait. Do nothing and stand around with a bunch of people. Apparently they have to start cleaning up at that time so the block it all off and there are few places to sit. I'm not sure how they could change this but if they could, it would make this trip more enjoyable.

Fun but lasted to long. Was too long to gamble for poor people trip could have been shorter. Cost of food to high. could have had better entertainment.

I have gambled all over the country, from Vegas to AC to the gulf of Mexico. Including state run casinos as well as private ones. The payouts on this privately run casino were well below average payouts for any other casino I have ever visited. I would not go back there.

The boat was clean and comfortable. Food (buffet) was great with several choices. The men's room was clean and equipped with soap and paper towels and staff worked hard to keep the entire boat clean. I would recommend this trip to most anyone.

I was very skeptical after reading all the negative reviews. My bf and I went for my 22nd birthday & I had a lot of fun. Prime rib seafood buffet was really good, I had seconds ! The casino games were fun I saw people win $700 and some just $50. There were definitely a lot of loyal guests because people knew EXACTLY what they were doing. Free drinks while gambling was cool too. I got bored after a couple hours of gambling but it is what it is. Overall very fun

I come to beach several times a year from CA and I am never disappointed for a fun day with a gambling cruise and great food, ( Chef Al ?) makes sauces and soups from scratch. if you arrived for prime rib night you have scored. It is also a great day trip as the view of the intercostal is pretty if you run out of funds to gamble with. They do have a non smoking section plus an upstairs deck.

I go to the Big M every time I come to beach. The food is outstanding beyond my expectations for a casino boat. Take advantage of Chef's ( I believe his name is AL) creations, gamble and enjoy the intercoastal cruise. You won't be disappointed. My favorite so far is the breakfast buffet and his soups are from scratch, if you are there for the prime rib dinner sailing you scored.

I was beyond excited to go on the Casino boat, as I just turned 21 a few months ago and it would be my first experience. The staff were very friendly and I had an overall good time on the machines (particularly the slots). However, the smoking on the first floor was unbearable. There was hardly any ventilation and I felt sick just walking down there. I didn't mind it as much on the third floor because it was open air, but I felt disgusting walking through the ship and it discouraged me from playing certain games. I also wish the servers with the drinks would approach you instead of you having to call them over. Not necessarily to bother you while playing, but while walking around I would have liked to have been offered something. It seems like they hovered around the hardcore players and never made their way towards the more casual ones.Like I said, I wanted to give this place a high rating because I enjoyed the experience, but I was turned off by the smoking to the point where it became unbearable to even walk through the first floor.
