We rented paddle boards from White Squirrel for a family reunion weekend on Lake Catatoga. Jeff and Sabrina were wonderful to work with in every way. Their customer service was excellent from first inquiry to delivery and pick up of the paddle boards to our personal dock. The paddle boards were the hit of the weekend with adults and kids alike, even above canoes and kayaks. Jeff recommended a couple of his lighter boards for the younger kids and they were easy enough for even our six year olds to maneuver around the lake. Wonderful experience all around and we look forward to renting again next year!

My two teenage boys and myself spent a lovely afternoon paddleboarding with a terrific host (Jeff). His wife Sabrina was the picture of southern hospitality. She organized details and shuttled us to river. Jeff gave us informative instruction on how to paddleboard and maneuver down the river. On our trip down the river, Jeff pointed out where we might see wildlife. We had been in the Brevard area for a couple days and I was hoping to see a White Squirrel. My boys were fortunate to see one across from the College while I was driving. Well, paddling down the river don't you know all of a sudden there one was running along the riverbank. Who would have thought I would get my glimpse of a White Squirrel while paddleboarding down the French Broad? How appropriate when paddling with White Squirrel Paddle Boards. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon paddleboarding with Jeff and Sabrina on Lake Julia in DuPont State Forest. Jeff was a fabulous "teacher" and Sabrina provided wonderful hospitality -- together they make White Squirrel Paddle Boards a first class operation and we look forward to going out again next summer.

My 10 year old son and his friend paddled the French Broad with Jeff recently. They had a blast! Jeff is very professional and safety oriented. He trained them on the gear and then took them down river when they were ready. As soon as they were finished, my son asked when he could do it again. We hope to do this as a family some time soon! Jeff and Sabrina went above and beyond the call of duty by meeting us in a visible location so we could follow them directly to the lake without getting lost. Jeff offered various board options to fit our needs, and was was very patient with his instruction and guidance. A potential storm arose and Jeff checked radar on his phone to ensure safety. Jeff (the owner) took my son and a friend on a trip. They were both new to the activity and he was a great instructor! He was patient and made sure they knew what they were doing before they took off down the river. This is a great adventure for the whole family. The boys really had an awesome time and can't wait to go on another trip.

During our paddling adventure we went from Cascade Lake up to Hooker Falls in DuPont State Forest. It was a very different veiwpoint of the beautiful landscapes Transylvania County has to offer. A great activity for this beautiful region. hiking is one thing to do in the mountains but getting on the water is like opening a whole new area of untraveled trails. the peaceful surroundings while gliding down the river makes it a great experience for anyone. You can get all your friends and travel down together as simple as if you went for a walk in the woods. If you get to hot just jump in and go for a swim. This is a wilderness activity everyone should try and I'm glad I went. The instructor is very helpful and makes sure everyone knows what they need to before heading out. It's so easy to do people can get out on the water after a few minute lesson!
