Visited in fall of 2013 and the falls are peaceful and pretty. It was a relaxing hike up the trail and made for great photos.

The road to these falls (this one , Tom Branch and Indian Creek) was an adventure, as we took the road less travelled. My GPS had us take a 1 lane dirt road over some mountains instead of going through Bryson City, was a nice trip though. As for Juney Whank Falls, stunning waterfall. The steps leading up to it from the parking area aren't that bad as others but there are a lot. There are 2 other waterfalls a short hike from this one (together they are known as 3 waterfall loop). Might as well see them all while here.

Nice hike, about 3/10 of a mile. It was a fun hike and the falls were great to observe and photograph.

Several vantage points for pictures. Hike is a bit more difficult than the other two falls in the same area. The bigger loop is for folks who like hiking... take the shorter loop (0.2 miles) down to the mail trail if you don't like too much up hill climbing/hiking. Very photogenic and serene falls. You may even catch a deer or other wildlife if you are quite and observant.

It is a good walk around the loop trail to these falls. Given all the other falls in the area that are much easier to access, if you only are looking to see falls, then don't do these. If you want to take a nice walk and see some falls, this loop is for you. Some good elevation change but not too much. Indian Creek and Tom Branch falls are much easier to access than these.

Juney Whank Falls is really pretty. It is not a long hike to the falls. I enjoyed it. I totally recommend it.

We visited in May before the crowds had yet to arrive. Even so, there was one knucklehead who waded across the creek and was climbing all over the rocks of the falls. I can imagine it's a beautiful spot but not when someone is using it for his personal playplace. The walk is very short from the parking lot (perhaps 5 minutes from where we parked). We ate lunch on one of the many picnic tables. Restrooms and water are nearby.

It's a short hike up from the parking lot in the Deep Creek area of the GSMNP near Bryson City. In the summer, this waterfall can be pitiful, as summers can be dry around here; but in the winter, it's a wonderful waterfall. The hike is uphill to the waterfall, and downhill to the parking lot.

To get there you need to go to the Deep Creek area go past the camp grounds and you will find the trailhead. It is a short walk to Juney Whank Falls, there is a nice bridge to walk across the falls. There are three falls you can access on this hike. You can continue on the Deep Creek Trail to access two more falls, Indain Creek Falls & Tom Branch Falls. The signs are a bit tricky to follow so I suggest picking up a waterfalls hiking trail map at one of the visitor Centers. This is a very beautiful hike. Deep Creek is a very nice area to bring the family!

The walk up to these falls is very easy, only .3 miles. But the bridge across the falls is a bit disappointing because it blocks you from getting really good pics. We continued our trek from here to find Tom Branch and Indian Creek Falls, this proved to be a bit confusing. The parks department needs to add a few more signs. We had a good hike but began to get worried that some how we had taken the horse trail but alas we finally found all 3, wow good sized falls. I will comment that if we had gone right at the information sign instead of up the hill we would have happened on the larger falls first. The trail is in great shape

Quick walk up to the falls which are the prettiest accessible falls in the park. Did the hike with small kids who did fine getting to and from the falls. There is a real bridge across the stream by the falls to keep kids safe.

We went to the Deep Creek area to find the three falls. Starting from the parking lot it's tough to tell where to begin. There are a couple of ways to go. We found the first one Juneywhank, but then wanted to also find Tom branch and Indian Creek falls. There are no signs posted, but we did have a trail description of where to go. Well, we got lost and had it not been for a ranger we ran into, we'd still be walking. All three falls are very nice and are high on my effort vs. reward scale. The trails are not particularly difficult or long (if you don't get lost), and the beauty of the falls is wonderful.

We love falls, we visited 3 falls in the Bryson City, NC area & one in Cherokee. All were easy to get to & very picturesque. We were lucky in that many of the kids in the area seemed to still be in school so we were able to enjoy the peacefulness of the sceneries without screaming kids! If you are ever in either area these falls are a must see.Mingo Falls in Cherokee, then Juney whank, Tom Branch & Indian Creek Falls in Bryson City, NC

Juney whank falls is a very short hike up a steep hill. If you go a little further you can see Tom branch and Indian creek falls, all are beautiful! Worth the hike for such a short distance . In the summer months you can see people coming down the river on tubes. There is a nice picnic area and the bathrooms were very clean!

Very short steep hike to a wonderful water fall that can be enjoyed from a bridge that crosses over. Reminded me of Laurel Falls with less crowds and a shorter hike.
