If you're looking to go back in time a few decades to experience the magic of drive-inn movies, this special place certainly does the trick. They have 2 screens and double-features on each, but we just came in for the later show and were so happy to find it! Though the flicks are all current, the place has this 50's aura about it, which we found very attractive. It was icing on the cake for us after spending an afternoon at the wineries in NoVa.

We go there from NOVA 4 or 5 times throughout the year and always have a good time. This weekend was the dust to dawn event featuring 4 movies which was enjoyed by our family. After the last movie my truck would not start and the management was great about getting us a jump start and on our way home. There were at least three other cars I know that also needed a jump start after the show and the staff was very helpful with getting everyone a jump start and on there way in a minimum amount of time.Looking foward to the next dust to dawn event!

Since I was a small child, my family has gone to the Drive In. There used to be 3 Drive ins in the area and Family was our favorite! You can't beat the value. Two movies for $8.00 and first run hits! We used to come in our pajama's so Dad would only have to carry us to bed! Oh' What wonderful Memories!

This family drive-in experience was amazing! My wife is from Asia and I wanted her to experience a true drive-in experience. We saw a double feature (Planet of the Apes and Transformers). The picture was outstanding! The cost was $8 per person and they gave us a $2 off per person military discount (I am retired military). They have the traditional concession stand with hotdogs, fries, nachos, soda pop, popcorn, candy, etc... We ate a buffet at the butcher's block before and did not buy any food at the concession stand. This establishment is DOG FRIENDLY! We have two dogs we brought with us and they loved spending the evening watching the movies with us! We live near DC and will definitely drive the 70 miles to visit again in the near future.

Love this place. Be going here for over 12 years. They have it all, concessions stand , with 2 movie screens showing 2 movies each. At just $8.00 it it a great deal. Brings back memories as it also has a playground for kids. You can also bring your dog!! Heck I even saw a very large pot belly pig!! Do not pass this one by.

Well parking is a pain. The back screen is ok if you don't have to park at the end. If you do park at the end you have to watch the movie side ways. Food prices are a bit steep and stay away for the meat!!!!! My son ate half a raw chicken and they refunded me for that and gave a box of candy. But other then that it is great f or kids you can bring pets on a leash. Still have the speakers on the pole.

I remember going to the drive-in when I was little and we had such fun. So imagine my excitement when I found out there is a real live drive-in right here in VA! My husband and I have been going to this place for years, but it's only been recently that they upgraded to digital. The movies are current & the price is great ($8 per adult). There are 2 screens and each screen normally has a double feature. There are even a few nights during the summer when they have a triple feature. You can choose to sit in your car or under the stars in your own lawn chairs. I've even see some people sprawled out in the back of their trucks....looks comfy! I think they try to encourage people with larger vehicles to park toward the back so those in smaller vehicles can see, but that doesn't always happen. And it can be really irritating when someone parks in front of you and lifts their SUV “trunk” hatch and leaves it up for the entire movie. Be sure to be considerate of those that are parked behind you. They have the standard drive-in "speakers on a stick" or you can listen to the movie via your car radio. There was 1 time (out of the MANY times we've been there) that there was an interference with the sound signal and we were getting static on the radio station, but that isn't the norm. They play music before the movie, so just make sure the sound is clear (if you are going to listen on your radio). They will also announce special occasions before the movie (so if you want them to wish someone a Happy Birthday, be sure to get there early and ask the announcer)…they have everyone honk their horns in recognition of the event! They start the movie once the sun has set, so the time changes throughout the season. And the 2 screens usually start about 15 minutes apart. Be aware that even in the dark, some movies are dark by nature and a bit hard to make out all the details (we noticed this during the night scenes in Godzilla). But this certainly shouldn't dissuade you from checking this place out.The Family Drive-in has been growing in popularity, so if you are planning to go on a Friday or Saturday night, be sure to get there early. We drove up there one night last year and the line to get in was at least 25 cars long. We ended up just going home, as the line was moving really slowly and the movie was about to start. But if you plan ahead and get there early, you should be fine. They have 2 lines to enter. I believe they accept credit cards, but we always pay with cash. Be forewarned that the lines do not move quickly. If you are coming from I81 (Stephens City), you will take a right turn into the venue. Some people will go up the road a ways and make a U-turn to try and avoid the long lines, but I’m not sure that really helps. We've been noticing more people trying that maneuver and it doesn't seem to buy them anything, as the line to turn left into the theater is getting longer. We haven’t tried many things from the snack bar, but I have tried their fresh fried funnel cakes and they are delicious. They serve Coke products. The bathrooms are small, but they have been working to improve them. I am not a night owl, so we usually leave after the first movie. But your entrance fee gets you all the movies they play that night (on your selected screen). Give this place a try – if you have been to a drive-in before, you will enjoy the trip down memory lane and if you haven’t, it will be a wonderful new experience! I just love this place!

If your kids have never been to a drive-in theater, give them a treat. We were planning to travel through the area and saw it on Tripadvisor. There are two screens and often double features at each. The movie was set to start at 9 pm. We thought we'd drive by and make sure where it was located. The cars were lined up at 6:30. It's not a movie, it's an event. A playground for the kids. We sat behind the car and played boardgames 'til the movie started. Note: we did not visit the concession stand.

This is where my daughter wanted to go for her 21st birthday. My mother sneaked away and talked to the owner and he even mentioned her birthday during his announcements at the beginning of the flick. We had to find a corner of the concession building so we could get the cake lit and everyone around joined in, in singing her happy birthday. This truly is a family joint and fun for all ages. It is great you can get your tickets online and $8 for two movies is incredible. And we aren't talking outdated movies - we saw Godzilla the weekend it came out.

A real drive-in, what's not to love about it! They show first-run movies, $8 for adults for two movies (sometimes 3). While their bathrooms could use some updating and they could certainly be bigger, they're clean. Ditto the concession stand. However, the concessions are very reasonably priced, especially for a movie theater and they're well-stocked with both meals and snacks. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's a great place to take your kids or just to have a different date-night. Highly, highly recommended!

This is one of the few drive-in theaters left in the country and such a few experience. Two movies for less than the price of one at the nearby "stadium" style theater. Bring the family and make a night of it. This is a local, family run operation. They just recently converted to digital so the movies are clear and crisp. They have lots of parking but people do arrive before dusk to get in line for their tickets and parking spots. You can bring your own food but they have a full concession stand with hot food, popcorn and drinks so you don't really have to bring anything.

35 mins to get through concession line. 8 people behind counter but only 4 actually working. They want you to support them and buy food there but you should do the opposite and bring food as they do not earn your concession business. And, beware that screen 2 is an add on that is small and hard to see from a distance.

We had such a good time at the theater. For two people, we paid $16 dollars to see two recent releases from the comfort of our car. We would have had to pay at least double that to watch both movies in our "regular" movie theater. Even though they allow you to bring your own refreshments, we opted not to take anything this time. The pizza was below average, and we will probably bring supper next time. Also, the refreshment stand closed just after the second movie started; since we did not know that, we missed out on popcorn. We will know better next time, though. You do not need to use your car radio to listen to the movie because they have speakers that you hang from a car window. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit.

This is a popular theater and deservedly so. Extremely well priced and well organized. 2 movies for the price of your ticket and the quality of the show was very good, and now even better since the theater has just gone digital! They are Ok with you bringing in food but really there's no need. They have far more to offer here and it's fairly priced PLUS this is where the theater gets its profit. Highly recommend this for a relaxing evening.
