We were visiting for owners weekend and wanted to get in an afternoon nine. As the weather was iffy and we were already at Copper we decided to try Copper Creek. They were advertising a $55 rate for 18 so we figured the rate for 9 would be on the upper $20 range. $48 FOR NINE!!! Ridiculous! Fairways were average at best, traps need major work, and the greens (?) were all but unputtable.

I live in Copper and this course has potential if Copper was willing to invest some money. My biggest complaint is the noise from the freeway on the front nine. It's hard to talk to your fellow golfers on some of these holes. They need to put up a earth berm to deflect some of the noise. The putting practice green is a joke. The front nine is not that long but requires accuracy and good iron play. The back nine in my opinion is a lot nicer and a lot funnier to play. This course as a whole is nice for the average golfer because it is not that hard and play moves along fairly quickly. It is also the most affordable mountain course around.

Tried Copper Creek for the first time this trip out. After seeing this course from I-70 for many years, it was quite a disappointment. The so called driving range is actually a parking lot with about 8 mats and orange cones for distance markers. Friendly starter and on course beverage cart. Overall I give it a 4 out of 10.

We played at Keystone for $69 a person (by using a 4 pack) and played here for $71 a person (Golf Now). There was no comparison. The course at Copper is short and is in very bad shape. The driving range is no where near the course, and the putting area is quite poor. Their excuse is it is early in the season. But Keystone was fabulous so I don't really understand this.

Enjoyed the course for the reason the price was right ... had a very affordable rate for after 4:00. Since our condo was right next to the club house, I was able to play a quick 18 a couple of evenings. The course is short and with the Colorado air was able to hit some impressive drives. A few of the holes were in a marsh area and was nothing unique at all. But the holes that are in higher elevation were very fun to play -- especially the highest tee box in North America. Not much of a club house although they treated me very well and let me try a new driver for 18 holes. Plus there is no driving range. I like the Breckenridge course better (love hitting balls at the driving range and watching them go 20+ yards farther than I usually hit them), but this a very nice, affordable course to play if you have the time. It is right off the highway.

We have played this course quite a few times over the last 10 years and we keep coming back to the same conclusion - while the price is very good (for the area), course maintenance and amenities are below what you'd expect. They have the most problems maintaining their greens of any course we've seen in the high country - very often the greens have a lot of bumps and dead grass areas - we know that the climate at 9,500 makes it difficult to keep the greens in good repair but, for whatever reason, all of the other courses within a 20 mile area (including the "bare bones" Mt Massive course), keep their greens a lot better. Good points include (1) since it's a very short course you can usually play in less than 4 hours; and (2) staff is very amenable. Overall, it's an entertaining course but definitely not in the upper echelon of area course

In the really nice town of Copper Mountain. Golfing along the ski slopes is very scenic and challenging. It may seem flat at first but it is not, you will be challenged with the elevations. First time here golfing in Colorado. They have a couple water holes and they have some high grass that eats golf balls so bring extra. A couple fairways are close, so you if you are a semi straight shooter that helps.Loved the winding fairways on many holes, let you wonder just where are you headed. It was a little difficult finding the driving range, it is a ways away from the first tee. 4 hour round, not bad, moved along well. Porta potties and water tankers on the course.

Played 7-3-13. Pace of play was very slow ( 4hrs 45 mins). Lots of blind shots-some drivable par 4's so is sort of a "gimmicky" course. Some of the greens are in rough shape. Restaurant/bar is good and staff are friendly. I would drive 90 minutes West and play Lakota Canyon which is a far superior course for less money. A course similar to this would be Evergreen about an hour to the East ( you will pay 1/2 the price and I think Evergreen is a better course).

Liked playing at Copper Creek, lots of wildlife and some nice altitude changes also can say that I've teed off from the highest tee box in North America.

Getting to the course is easy by IS 40, but then the fun starts. Hole #12 has the highest tee box in NA and it feels like it. Best part is the green fees - about half the cost of other courses but well worth while. I played with some of locals who were very pleasant and technically helpful. A very enjoyable 2 days as we were rained out the first day but got rain check to play the back 9 next morning. Highly reccommend to play this course and is about 25 minutes drive from Breckenridge.

Experienced golfers will not enjoy this course. Lots of blind tee-shots, incredibly short golf course and greens were poor. Staff was very friendly though and 19th hole lunch at JJs was very good.Driving range was a bus parking lot hitting off mats. $85 a round with cart. This course is easier than Breckenridge and Raven it's cheaper but you get what you pay for!

Played here after playing Breck and the Raven, this course was nice and relaxing after playing the other 2. I would recomend this course to any level player. If you love playing in the mountains make sure you hit this place.
