    夏天的时候我每个星期都来这里听音乐会。很多人都是一家老少聚在一起,拿着椅子什么的就坐在草地上面听,非常赞。当然有时候可能还会有免费的饮料呢。

We are thrilled you enjoyed the shows you attended at Theatre Aspen! On behalf of the actors who performed in the shows, however, we just wanted to point out that Theatre Aspen is a professional, as opposed to community, theatre and that the actors we employ come from all over and are paid to spend their time in Aspen. We also hire actors from the Aspen and Colorado area, bringing the best of Broadway and Beyond, as we say, to our small theatre in the Rockies. Thank you for taking the time to write a review!

This is a must while in Aspen, intimate location and fantastic performers! absolutely a must! NO bad seat in the house, it doesn't matter where you sit, performance usually utilizes all parts of stage, you feel like you are involved in show. Love going to this theater!

First evening in Aspen we saw the Full Monty... fabulous and entertaining !! my last night there ( last night) we saw "The Cottage". I laughed so hard. Just great!!! I highly recommend both shows. Congrats on a great season.

What a fun evening! This 2014 show is so entertaining. The cast is extremely talented and full of great spirit. The show is funny, touching, and a really good time. It has adult themes that are tastefully represented. We had a blast! During intermission one can browse the gardens surrounding the tent, including the John Denver sanctuary.

Only attended one concert, in October 2013. This is normally a summer venue and a great one, no heating available during the October concert, but blankets were provided.. Recommended in the summer...

I've been going to the theatre in Aspen for the last five years and every year gets better and better. The plays and the actors are as good as any Broadway show and is so cozy that you don't want it to finish. If you have the time don't miss it

My wife had never seen Le Miz and I love it so we decided to travel to Aspen to see the Theatre Aspen production this summer. We started our week in the mountains with a Thursday inAspen. Neither of us had been to Theatre Aspen before. We have seen a lot of plays together on Broadway, in Denver, and locally in Fort Collins. We were a little concerned when we saw the tent sitting in the middle of a park with water and flowers it was beautiful, but could this small venue hold Paris? Both my wife and I agree this was the best performance of a play we have ever seen. The small venue was turned to their advantage by using the aisles and our closeness to the actors to make us a part of the action. I have never had such an emotional reaction to a play, eve when I saw a wonderful production in Philadelphia years ago. The set design and the directing brought us all into the action. Jean Valjean and Jalbert had marvelous voices and used them to heighten the emotional content. The small venue allowed us to see their expressions and appreciate their emotional power. I have never heard a better version of "Bring him home" particularly the last high notes done so clearly by Jean Valjean, Mike Eldred. Jalbert was as outstanding. The apprentice ensemble and bit players were excellent. Ihave added Theatre Aspen to the places I would drive to attend a performance. None of their other performances strike a chord with me so I will have to wait till next year.

We saw a production of Les Mis and it was amazing. Broadway caliber performers (really.. they came from Broadway!) in the most intimate setting.. Probably one of the best theater experiences I have ever had. Reasonably priced.. $60 was the top price level... Next time we are in Aspen we will see all their performances. The cultural experiences in Aspen are endless.

Saw Les Mis last night at Theatre Aspen. My sister was visiting from California, and we were looking for local experience. The Hurst Theater is an intimate venue, small stage, in a tent, with tiered seating, and not a bad seat in the house (we were in second row a little off center). The minimalist staging brought characters to the forefront, and the staging is not limited just to "the stage", performers use the aisles as well. The sets and especially the lighting were creative and inspired. My favorites for their outstanding performances were Javert (Aloysius Gigl), Jean Valjean (Mike Eldred), Mme. Thenardier, (an exceptionally rowdy performance by Nikki Boxer) and Franz Alderfer (the bishop and multiple ensemble characters). Beth Malone's (Fantine) brief appearances were exceptional. If you are in Aspen this summer, this is a treat not to be missed.

Saw opening night of Charlie Brown. Fantastic cast with great credentials. The whole experience was quality from the professional choreography to the front of house experience. Aspen is fortunate to be ale to attract top quality talent. If musical theater sounds relaxing after a long day of physical activities this is the place to go. The grounds are spectacular.

Theatre Aspen's production of Les Mis was fantastic! I have seen the production numerous times, and this was by far the best. The venue is unique and I enjoyed being so close to the action and music. The tent was a little hot and stuffy the night we were there, but by the end of the evening things had cooled off considerably. If other productions are as wonderful as the one we saw, I would certainly recommend and would love to return!

This out door tented theatre in Aspen has always put on 3 plays a year. In years past talented locals came together to entertain. It has been years since I've been back and found a level of professionalism not seen in the past. Huge talent. Long but that's just how that play is.

We bought tickets for Les Miz not knowing what to expect. For a summer production in a venue with 190 seats, I expected a cut above a high school production, despite a significant ticket price. To my absolute amazement, this show was first class, exceeding all expectations.Theatre Aspen is celebrating its 30th anniversary and has a new home. Though it is a seasonal venue which doesn't yet have proper bathrooms, it's in a fairy tale-like setting. Formerly a dump, the area is now boasts an exquisite flowered rock pond. The production featured a Broadway calibre cast (yes some were part of the original cast). Even the ensemble had astonishing voices. The sets and costumes were wonderful while it was technically perfect for sound and lighting. But to see this is a venue where you could literally reach out and touch the cast provided an unparalleled intimacy. Without a doubt I enjoyed this more than the movie or a travelling production. Some moments were absolutely magical. It was a 2 hr and 45 min production that I didn't want to end. I found myself humming several tunes all the way home and am not sure I'll be able to fall asleep tonight. How they can put on a show of this quality for a 2 week run is a miracle. I'm just glad that I had the opportunity to experience it. I can only guess that their other 3 summer productions will be as impressive.

What a great intimate setting we discovered at Theatre Aspen last week! The preview showing of Les Miserables was amazing... Singing and acting brought us to tears a couple of times. What a treat! Beautiful grounds with well kept lake surrounded by flowers. So glad we discovered this theatre!
