I've had the pleasure to go several events, concerts and the museum located at Bethel Woods. First the museum- it was definitely a blast from my past and brought back great memories of the late 60's, early 70's and Woodstock.Concerts are great here. The harvest fest is also a lot of fun. check out their website and events list.

Very best venue under the pavilion or lawn seats, a very pleasurable experience. Great prices for shows and family fun.

On the site of the original Woodstock festival with a pavilion for outdoor concerts along with a museum capturing the changes in America of the 60's. The museum is not just artifacts but has many interactive booths/displays presenting people and topics of the era. Plan on a few hours as a minimum for this self guided tour. Besides offering summer concerts there are many different cultural and musical programs held within the event gallery. This sound efficient rotunda offers beautiful crafted wood and decor accenting any show. Bethel Woods also offers a yearly wine festival as well as a craft beer event that takes place at the gorgeous outdoor market sheds. Creative food items and music are provided that makes a great day outdoors overlooking the original concert field and surrounding scenery. An outstanding venue offering more than just concerts.

Saw Bob Dylan here and it was great! For a venue that is partially outdoors the sound from the stage was mixed very well. Enjoyed it and would go back to this venue again! Very clean also.

The lawn seats need to be coordinated better, parking and exiting is disgraceful. Wish there were more food options. ..they ran lot of food at the bar be cue restaurant (how does that happen) I love the venue, the hills. Lots to offer ..I want this place to be a success. The area needs it!

I'll start by saying I love Bethel Woods. It is a beautiful place to see a concert. Grounds are beautiful and clean. The craft show was a bit of a disappointment however. We expected lots and lots of different vendors and there were maybe 50 or so? A lot of food vendors, not as many "craft" vendors. We thought we would spend a few hours there and really only spent about an hour going through the two outside buildings. Wished there was more! But we did get our picture taken by the photographer in front of the fireplace which is a great keepsake.

Went for a project my daughter was doing. I felt uncomfortable with some of the staff, I think some of them were still tripping. I also felt that the whole museum was steeped in revisionist history. Most of the kids were there in 1969 for a good time, not to make a beautiful statement.

We walked the site of 'Woodstock' and visited the museum, including the temporary exhibit 'Speaking Truth to Power'. The festival site was amazing. The natural amphitheatre had a greater incline than pictures or video showed. It is so well preserved. The museum traced the social, cultural, political and musical history of the 60's with images and videos that were very informative and interesting. This led the visitor through the years until Woodstock in August 1969 with many interviews and artifacts. The actual Woodstock exhibits were great and the films highlighted both the experience of those involved and the music. It was very well presented. The museum also was hosting the temporary exhibit 'Speaking Truth to Power' which had photos and biographies of many who have worked worldwide for human rights and have often suffered terribly in their quest. The exhibit included a 52 minute film of a play in which many celebrities speak the words of those who are honoured and tell their stories. It was well worth taking in the entire film. All in all, the day at Bethel Woods was well worth the effort to get there.

Great storytelling, great music and neat artifacts recount those three days in 1969. We hated to leave. The museum was uncrowded when we visited, and perhaps why its very small cafe closed just as we arrived, hours before the museum closed. Nice museum shop.

We had talked about visiting the original site of Woodstock for years and then discovered it was only 2 hours away so we planned our trip around the peak colors of the leaves and couldn't have been happier. We were so excited on our journey there giggling and laughing and singing some of the songs from Woodstock. We were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful building and museum. So much to see! The best park was standing down where the stage was, looking up at the hill and imagining a million people there dancing and feeling the vibe. Awesome day!

The grounds are nice and relaxing. Inside was the chili contest. $2 entrance fee and a ticket was given to vote for the best tasting chili. Samples of chili from 6 different makers were served in small disposable cups. All had different tastes, some with toppings, chips and cornbread. It was fun, and delicious. It was tough to vote after one round of sampling so I did it again. Kudos to all the chili makers as each one was a winner to my taste buds. Then a brief walk outside to the samples of beer. One may purchase tickets on line at $40, or pay $45 at the event. Upon entering a souvenir glass was given out which became the drinking glass. Numerous businesses offered different styles of their beer, lager, and ale. Lots of fun and plenty to drink. The live music from the different band added to the enjoyment. It was a fantastic day and worth the trip. The weather was not looking good in the AM, but changed for the best as we arrived. Also would like to add is that with all the drinking going on, I did not see any foolish person(s) causing trouble. It was a fun day shared by all.

I feel silly - I didn't know this was "woodstock." I went for the Speak Truth to Power exhibit - loved it! It's a great space - seems like a good spot for a wedding or the like.

Take your choice - why kind of music do you like? You're sure to find something that pleases you or teases you in Bethel Woods' lineup each summer! Beautiful spot - no bad seats - great entertainment - very well organized. Become a VIP Member and enjoy it all even more!

We attended several concerts this summer. Overall we found Bethel Woods a wonderful venue, the seating comfortable, view excellent, sound system great. The staff are very friendly. The only shortcoming is the off site highway capacity. For popular concerts, leaving is a disaster. This is not Bethel Woods fault, so I have not held it against them in the venue's rating. The fault is all with the County and State, who should get together to fix this problem in support of this gem of a facility.

As Boomers, we are skeptical of the whole rediscovery (and commercialization) of the Woodstock era. However we were won over by the thoughtful and creatively displayed memorabilia and exhibits in this very well great idea curated museum. The music, the politics, the performers, the clothing, the art, the personal ephemera left behind, even the industrial strength recipes for the granola and the bulgar salad distributed for free at Woodstock - no detail appears to have been overlooked or deemed too trivial. A very good film about the festival is available for viewing in a state of the art theater. In Disney fashion, you exit through the gift shop, which is overpriced and underwhelming, as is the snack bar. The surrounding countryside is magnificent. Definitely worth a visit.
