wonderful place to bring the kids, and now our grandchildren who live out of town. They talk about it for a long time after! We missed the true "carousel music" this year, and it looks like a few horses did not "make it" this year (some empty places), but the kids still love the long rides, and always beg for more time!

This park is one of our family's favorite summer places to picinic and play! The park is great for young families.. equipt with a beautiful carousel, a well kept sandbox, a jungle gym, and a 5ft pool with lifeguard staff. There is also consession and a bathhouse and covered picinic table area with grill. Perfect afternoon picnic and play! Free!

This park is situated in a nice, older neighborhood. The mature maple trees offer a shady backdrop to the antique merry-go-round, picnic shelter with grills, playground area, wading pool, basketball and tennis courts, etc. A nice, family atmosphere offering a taste of simpler times and days gone by.

Great park for the little ones. Can't beat the free Carousel rides! Pool is clean and nice little snack bar too.

I grew up in this neighborhood, enjoying this park on a daily basis. It is still a great park, perfect for young kids. It features a brand new playground, a sandbox (with sun shade), a wadding pool, a snack stand and a carousel. The pool, carousel and snack stand are open daily from Memorial Day till Labor Day.

We love this park. I grew up in endicott ny and came here as a kid and I've continued that tradition with my own babies. This is the best kiddie pool in the area. It starts at 1.5 feet deep and goes up to 3.5 or 4 feet I beleive. My kids could play here for hours between the snack bar, pool, playground, carousel and the basketball courts. They also have a pavilion and some grills to cook on.

We ventured to the park and went on the carousel. Teenagers running the carousel seemed like they didn't want to be there. They were too busy playing with their phones. It was a fun attraction, what more could you want for free?

I grew up on Swartwood Ave., Endicott so us kids were always at this park and because I love this area so much, I purchased my home within walking distance of this park. My granddaughter, who is six now, is a regular visitor to the park. The new playground is wonderful!! Having a beautiful carousel so close to home is something to really appreciate. The George W. Johnson park on the north side of Endicott is another gem. Nice pool and beautiful carousel.

A small family park with picnic tables, a small kiddy pool, and a wonderful Carousel. One of six that we are so fortunate to have her.

A friend and I went to the West Endicott Park in Endicott, New York today to see the old carousel. When we arrived, the park seemed to be closed, and the carousel house was closed up. I was about to drive away when my friend Carol saw two workmen and called out to them. They offered to open up the carousel house so we could go in and see it. They turned on the lights and we spent five or ten minutes walking around it and taking pictures. They told us that the carousel is open to the public between Memorial Day and Labor Day. So, we missed it by several days or a week. I hope to return someday when it is open.

A historic carousel located in Endicott, NY that was purchased in 1929. It was constructed by the Allan Herschell Company. This is one of six carousels donated to the citizens of Broome County by George F. Johnson (1857–1948), president of Endicott Johnson Corporation. This is the original park with the original Carousel that is still up and running. My mother who is 85 years young enjoyed this park as a child, I enjoyed it as a child and now our grandchildren are enjoying it. It also has a newly built and clean child swimming pool (up to 3 feet). The park is filled with plenty of swings, slides, sand play area, picnic area and tennis courts. A must stop if in the area.

I recently took my 7 yr. old granddaughter to the West Endicott Park which is close to our home. We had a lovely afternoon in the free wading pool, just the right size for her. She (or should I say we!) went on the carousel multiple times. I also appreciate the fact that they play traditional carousel music as opposed to a local radio station as some do! It gives the kids a sense of how it was back in the day. They also have slides, swings and a sand box as well as tennis courts. When you consider that there's no charge, it's a great place to take the little ones on a summer afternoon.

There are many Carousel's in the Endicott/Binghamton/Johnson City area (7 is the count I think!) The bonus is THEY ARE ALL FREE! They offer a special fun thing to do- "ride the Carousel circuit". You can collect a "ticket" at each Carousel. If you get the tickets from all the Carousel's, you get a special "Carousel Pin". This was so fun (and did I say FREE! :)For my family. The kid's just loved it- each Carousel is in a park too- so lot's of playing on the day's we did this, and the just loved & were so proud of the pin's they collected. Finding out the history of the Carousel Circuit (George Johnson's gift to this area) was also nice.

One of six working carousels in the region given by George F. Johnson, this is a small 36 animal carousel. Patrons can ride for free. Look for the dog and pig in among the horses. Given this carousel was made in 1929 it is in remarkable condition. Carousel enthusiasts will enjoy the visit as will small children. The carousel is in a small park with a playground and sandbox for children and a concession stand. Each carousel in the circuit has a collectors card for riders. Collect all 6 and trade them in for a button. It is suggested to start with this carousel and work your way east, ending at the Ross Park carousel. You can get a special treat for your button at the carousel shop.
