Have season tickets to a few of the venues in Baltimore. Have always lived the smallish, more personal feel of Centerstage. There are 2 auditoriums within, quite different from each other. If you're looking for a "big Broadway" type production, ie large musical .. This is probably the wrong venue for you. Shows are typically smaller, maybe more off Broadway type, maybe even a tad more provocative or cerebral.

Coworkers and I went to see "It's A Wonderful Life" and thoroughly enjoyed the adaptation. After the first 15 minutes we were completely absorbed in the play and barely noticed the character changes. (A small cast of 5 plus a "sound man") The actors were delightful! The Theater was a bit warm but created an intimate atmosphere. There didn't appear to be any seats that wouldn't have a great view. It was a wonderful night!

I have been involved with Center Stage for twenty years, but very involved and seeing each show at least twice, for the last ten years. The acting is always superb! Staff is appreciative and friendly, often providing insight on the show, to the audience. There are special prices available for some nights and at certain times. There is a casual restaurant, with great food available before the show. This theater offers the very best printed program, with an abundance of information. No need to "doll up"! Come in your comfortable clothes and experience a wonderful matinee or evening in this former school building, which still retains interesting historic architecture. Oh, the scenery is always top-notch, too. There is no bad seat as the theater is not huge, but merely big enough to make you feel you are part of an enthusiastic theatrical crowd. Cheers!

We have been to Center Stage several times now and have thoroughly enjoyed every show. There are no bad seats in the house. Last night we saw "It's a Wonderful Life, radio version" and loved it. They made it unique to Baltimore, by setting it at WBAL radio station and adding Old Bay and H&S Bakery Commercials. The 2 theaters (Pearlstone and Head) within Center Sage are both very well planned. You can get drinks and food inside too. Parking in the SunPaper's Garage is easy too. It is just diagonal-across the street from Center Stage and costs about $5. Really a nice venue!

Wonderful play with beautiful voices and a great set. We sat in the last row of the orchestra, and the sight lines were good except that the woman in front of us had a high hairdo, and it was difficult to see over her.

We saw Next to Normal last night. The music, singing, and performances were outstanding. The theatre seating is awesome too. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. We try to see a show whenever we visit Baltimore. If you like the theatre I definitely recommend Center Stage

Went to Center Stage and saw Amadeus. The performance was wonderful. The characters put on a pre-show about 1/2 hour before the actual performance. The employees and volunteers are great. The tickets are reasonably priced. A "must see"!!

Center Stage is a gem in Baltimore. I’ve seen 4-5 shows here and have one coming up soon. The theater is very intimate, small enough that you can see all of the facial expressions and nuances, yet big enough so that you don’t feel like you’re in an auditorium. I’ve sat in many locations throughout the theater and I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house. Parking isn’t too fun in Baltimore, but we’ve never had too much trouble. Go a few minutes early to look at all the pictures of past shows and have a drink.

We saw a new play at the Arena, and enjoyed a lovely buffet meal prior to the show at their cafe. I am an avid supporter of regional theatre, and the Arena didn't disppoint in its commitment to offering important dramatical work at an affordable price, with quality artistry. The lobby was spacious. the theatre comfortable, and the play excellent. The cafe offered a comfortable cafeteria-style format, and the food was excellent. There was an interesting costume display on hand in the seating area of the cafe, which showcased the costumes of the season's plays on mannequins. As we dined at our table, it was a little like sitting in an art gallery amongst the mannequins as fellow guests, and I enjoyed being immersed in the display as a unique preparation for a theatrical evening! Neat...

This is great place to see some really great plays. The theatre is small so wherever you are seated you have a great view of the performance. The actors are always at the top of their game and put on a great show. The only downside can be finding on street parking especially if you are running late.

When the performance sparkles as it did for Wild with Happy, this is an excellent evening, add the wine sale and fun friendly theater goers

Interesting place containing two main performance venues. Both provide intimate seating for a great audience experience. I have seen many productions there and appreciate the creativity and unique style of the company and it's members.

I've seen many great plays here -- always had good seats! Have also attended "Stoop Stories" once a month. Quite good. Good bar, some refreshments, and the line for the ladies room goes quickly during intermission!

I have loved everything I've seen there, but I to say that their production of Sweeny Todd was the best I've sen. I truly loved it. This is a VERY professional troupe that works wonders, and works so well together.

Enjoyed a great presentation of " Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" over Easter weekend. Excellent show, fabulous actors, and a very neat theater.
