We went on recommendation and did the wine and chocolate tasting it was excellent. Lovely setting and the staff very informative. I thought I would dislike the chocolate with rock salt but it blended beautifully with the wine. Would definitely visit again and do the tour if in the area.

Hi Jennifer, Thank you for writing this review about Waterford Estate. It is much appreciated. We are very glad that you always stop off at Waterford Estate when visiting Stellenbosch.With the regards to our chocolates I have contacted our chocolatier and this is what he had to say about storing our chocolates:Our Waterford Estate Chocolate should be stored in a cool and odour-free place. Not the fridge.Our chocolate is made with cocoa butter - it tastes better, has a better mouth-feel, and is healthier. Commercial chocolate is made with palm oil and has a higher heat tolerance.I hope that this helps so that next time when you visit us, your chocolate will be in good condition when you get home.
