A great place to spend a day if you're in Medellin with children..but also has very interesting exhibits for adults. Right next to El Jardin Botanico and next to Metro Universidad...so makes for a great day ...

With twin 4-year-old boys, I have been to quite a few children's museums and have to say Parque Explora was a really good one. It's modern, clean, and well maintained. What I really enjoyed, beside the fact that it's really cheap, was the variety of exhibits to see and interact with. I liked the physics experiments that everyone can try outside - we must have spent a good 45 minutes out there, testing and explaining to our kids. The aquarium is not so impressive but not bad. The reptiles and amphibians were pretty cool too. The movement room on the third floor was great - we only had an hour left and were not ready to leave. My dinosaur fanatics really liked the dinosaur room, too. The moving dinosaurs were well done but there wasn't a lot of information to learn about them there. Overall, we were there for about 4 hours and had exhausted little boys when we left. Lots of clean restrooms throughout the facility. Very kid and stroller-friendly. There is food available on site however it's not the healthiest. We brought our own snacks and nobody seemed to care that we did not purchase it there. If you're carless in Medellin, no worries. Take the Metro train. It's cheap and fast and it stops right at the park. Only a short walk down the steps to the entrance. And the kids get the added bonus of riding on a light rail train!Enjoy!

We spent the whole afternoon there and still didn't experience everything the park had to offer. There is a 3D film (in spanish, so don't bother going if you don't understand the language), an aquarium, temporary exibithions (dinossaurs when we went), and interactive pavillions about science. You have a lot of fun while learning and all the staff there are really friendly and eager to help you with all the experiments. I stronglly recommend it to anyone visiting Medellin.

Some interesting interating stuff. Learn scientific facts and visit a very nice aquarium where you'll discover the world's most poisonous frog.

There are different places for you to explore. Good for kids over 7 years old and the whole family. For me, the best place is the aquarium. Although Digital Territory is a place I recommend too. If you want to visit Parque Explora, you need to pay a bit much for my taste.

Parque Explora was recommended to us by our Paisa Road guide (see my review on Paisa Road’s Pablo Escobar historical tour). After our Pablo Escobar tour was finished, our driver/guide dropped us off at a Metro station and it was very easy to get to Parque Explora. The complex turned out to be a very fun afternoon for my friend and I (who are both pushing 40 and had no children with us). Whereas the aquarium isn’t enormous, it is extremely well-maintained and had very nice aquatic exhibits. We also really enjoyed the interactive rooms, particularly the current exhibit on the Mind, and there were enough descriptions in English for us to understand what each display was about. I also must add that the staff/docents were SO incredibly friendly and excited to show visitors how to interact with the hands-on exhibits—they really seemed to enjoy their jobs, and made the experience even more fun for us!

This is a very nice place for kids and adults. A lot of interactive playgrounds are available for the kids. The aquarium and planetarium are a must see.

If you like science centres this is the place for you. The centre features an aquarium, vivarium, 3D theatre, interactive exhibits on the human brain and biophysics, and a temporary exhibit (dinosaurs during my visit). The place was bigger than I expected, and I ended up spending 5-6 hours there (and I would have stayed longer if it didn't close)! I would recommend visitors speak some level of Spanish, as some information plaques contain English, but understanding Spanish would give a much more fulfilling experience. There are plenty of useful guides providing additional explanatory information (and were nice enough to speak to me in English or broken down Spanish).

If you have children, this place is definitely a must, but even if you don't, it is still worth seeing. The aquarium was probably our favorite section, as the tanks are very clean and has many English explanations of what you are seeing. Plan to spend the better part of a day between here and the Botanical gardens across from the Parque Explora. The Metro takes you practically to the front steps of the park, so getting there is easy.

The brilliant city planners of Medellin have placed the botanical gardens, aquarium, planetarium, science museum and dinosaur exhibit all in the same city center . All of these exhibits are excellent and informative. The staff were very helpful although their English was limited. Would highly recommend.

You will find different exhibition halls and the aquarium, reptil house too. In the exhibitions there are lots of interactive things to do - so learning while you are having fun, very amusing.

Located adjacent to the University metro station and botany cal gardens the Parque is especially great for kids but none too shabby for adults either! Well worth a visit.

Parque explora is more of a place for kids to go on a fieldtrip, not a tourist attraction. I went with my 8 year old so it wad ok, but probably not interesting to go as an adult

Perfect place for a day out if you're hungry for fun and knowledge. The aqarium is nice but not spectacular. We visited the physics, dinosaurs and a few other exhibitions. All were very interesting with a lot of interactive attractions. Outside park is really nice too. Fully recommended!
