What an amazing place to see. An extraordinary collection of typography artifacts, well worth visiting!!! ...and what an exceptional presentation of the museum collection from Maria! Will be definitely visiting again when in Chania.

One of a kind museum, with rare items, preserved in a way that only real collectors, with passion and respect do... Modern space, hard work of many years presented with real hospitality. Many collections and pieces of art through centuries, a lot of sentiments through senses...it is a jewel fir Chania tiwn and Greece, and of course like all good things in this country has no support from the official state. We were told that police recently took off the museum signs from the national road?!?!?!...

I have been a number of times in the Museum each time they hold one of their unique cultural events. The museum has a great number of authentic huge exhibits from all over Europe, a replica of the first typography machine by Gutenberg and posters illustrating the world history of writing. The cultural events take place either in the small auditorium or in the garden.Tonight we are enjoying August full moon along with a song recital. Call before you visit the place.

If you have the address then this is Easy to find from the national road. Take the exit for the industrial park and follow the signs on every junction up the the front door. Very helpful and friendly member of staff there who showed us the working exhibits and videos that helped explain book binding and newspaper printing. It was empty when we went there on a Sunday morning and an hour was plenty to get the gist. Would be good to have visiting exhibition work there from time to time to really show the true potential of Typography as a design discipline in its own right. Enjoyable.

Everything in this museum is perfect! The personnel is very well trained and all the exhibits are very rare to find together anywhere else! Prototype museum. Its nice to spend a couple of hours there to get informed of the old and new methods of Typography !

Small but interesting. If you are lover of those kind of stuff I'm sure that you gonna like it. The only problem is that you ll spent 1 hour to take a look .. and 1 hour to find the place, because is little hard to locate it.

Well worth finding this gem of a place. Spent a fabulous couple of hours there this morning - beautifully presented and really knowledgeable, helpful staff. Video clips are useful to understand how these mighty machines worked. Try and get specific instructions as it can be difficult to find. There is so much to see - it didn't seem to be 'little' to us actually. There is also a terrific small exhibition upstairs.

We really wanted to visit this museum but we were unable to get to it. I have given it all 3s as obviously do not know if it is good or bad! We got a bus to Chania then abother to Souda and started walking towards the museum however, it is located on an industrial estate and we found ourselves heading towards a motorway on foot. We decided to walk back to Souda and get a taxi from there but unfortunately there were no taxis to be seen. We gave up and got a bus back to Chania. This was extremely disappointing and a complete waste of time and money for us! I think the muse should add some 'how to get here' information for people who would like to visit! If you want to get the museum I strongly recommend getting a taxi from Chania.

The museum of typography its a little museum with great material that i visited in a rainy day that i couldn't go to the beach.You will see old typography machines that there is no exist now in the digital era of typography.
